He's nice...kind of a dikkhead but as long as he's rapping and not doing interviews or talking about some other nikka he's golden.

esgn is prolly my least favorite project by him, it had a pretty short span of rotation for me, cold day in hell is prolly my fav. i consider myself a pretty big fan. he's been one of my favorite/the best rappers for some time now imo.
...again, w/ the 'he shouldve signed to mmg' arguments. i dont get why people feel there sounds r comparable.he was even dissing ross long before linking w/ jeezy.

i think he should've signed with MMG only because they seem as a better management team.

Like I been saying since Miseducation and Midwest Gibbs has been the best for a minute now. His interviews are cringeworthy and he does act like a stalker when it comes to keeping Jeezy name in his mouth but you cant deny his music. I know all the arm chair A&R on the coli like to come out in droves acting like he needs to go mainstream to make some kind of a living but from what I hear Gibbs is comfortable and not hurting for money at all. ALl I can ask for as a fan is to keep putting out great music and he's been doing that nonstop for about 5-7 years now and his consistency cannot be denied. I even made this a few years ago

smh, Pill/Gibbs was prolly the best collab of the new artists. They styles went together perfectly. Do Wrong is a mothafukkin jam. :whoo:

The post above is right tho, why does Gibbs have to go pop to be considered successful?

B/c that's all these cats know and think going mainstream is the only way to get paid. I cant believe in this day and age people still have this archaic mindset that record sales and major labels is what gets rappers paid when its been proven time and time again its the exact opposite. Even if Gibbs did blow up and sign to a major the same nikkas saying he should do it now would be the first ones saying he fell off. Its the nature of immature hip hop fans. A Gibbs and Drake collabo would have half you nikkas jumping ship...but thats the shyt he most likely gonna have to do if he signs to a major.

BFK was good to me but ESGN is still one of the best releases this summer and "Eastside Moonwalker" was a great lead single.

I agree with you. I think in terms of mixtapes, it's up there with the Return of 4 Evas, The Warm Ups and other classic mixtapes
Mixtapes? Really?
Its an album IMO dont matter if its sold in a store or available for free. Its all original production with no gunshots or djs bringing it back. These are albums.

if you put gibbs best 40-50 tracks up against anyone with that big a discog, very few of the new artists hold up in any comparison

Gibbs is probably my favorite pure spitter in the game right now. nikka makes so many dope bangers, and the flow is:lawd:

Cold Day In Hell - is probably his best overall tape front to back.

BFK has Gibbs very best tracks on it in my opinion.

But really this nikka don't drop nothing but Piff. The quality on all of his releases are top notch.

I spin his whole catalog on the regular from Midwestgangsta thru ESGN. I just took off the few tracks that I don't like, shyt is one of the dopest playlists you gone ever hear:whew:

Every once in a while I just gotta throw this track on and ride that wave. That second verse brehs:wow:

Midwestgangsta was the tape that made me take notice. My favorite tape by him is probably BFK though. That will soon be replaced by Cocaine Pinatas.
