I think birth control and abortion should be riders that can be added to an insurance policy for an additional fee. We shouldn't force someone to select them if they are so outraged by it. They'll just have to pay out of pocket if the opt to use those services. I do think there are some services that shouldn't be optional, like once a year visits (someone people will argue they never need to go to the doctors) but birth control isn't a necessity for everyone.

Why should they be an additional fee?

"We shouldn't force someone to select them if they are so outraged by it".

Are you referring to employers?

I'm not sure what you're trying to say in your last sentence.

Birth Control should be optional when you're purchasing health insurance.

I kind of agree, but what about a reasonable co-pay like $10. Idk how much a supply cost now, but I'm sure it can be deemed as a luxury item for people in certain income brackets...
I'd like to see more girls that are sexually active get on birth control :obama:
:patrice: you mean most aren't :ohhh:

The response rate for women in the 2006-2008 survey was about 76%

No one is making you buy birth control or take it.
Exactly. So why do I have to pay for it? The argument is that the health insurance plans will be required to cover contraception. If insurance companies are required to cover it, they will pass the cost along to the premiums.

the majority of plans already cover contraception...
