I'll be the oddball and say that Billy Gunn wasn't a pretty good wrestler and athlete. He just didn't have that "it" factor and based on his shoots after being released, he wasn't good at politics either. I say that to say that there's nothing wrong with Dolph patterning himself after Billy as far as moveset and athleticism. Maybe I'm being a dolph-dawg, but I honestly don't think he's been, booked, built or pushed well enough, or consistently enough to get over.
Billy Gunn was just one of those wrestlers the IWC chose to hate on for no reason whatsoever. I'm still trying to figure out what he did to garner such hate.
