People just watch punches but don't break down the fights, from round 1 horns stalking and ability to cut of the ring constantly didn't allow Manny to breathe, and every time he found himself out of position in the middle of the ring, he would turn n shift ala jmm, or bum rush him to the ropes to stop him from coming forward....
His strategy was masterful, boy has that hatton footwork, Manny a good footwork fighter constantly found himself boxed in....

Hate to say this but I agree with some of your post Skip. Manny had 1-2 real good rounds and Horn controlled the rest of the fight. Manny would come back and steal rounds, but only by winning the last minute. Manny was unprepared for the pressure. Good fight, I hope they run it back.

I was rooting for Manny, thought the fight could have went either way initially, but after finally rewatching a few times, Horn took it 7-5, 8-4 easily....Hard to win a fight where u lose 5 rounds in the first half of the fight, Manny ain't move his hands and was trying to steal rounds, later in the fight horns mauling, clinch work, and body work, sapped the energy, Manny wasn't able to affectively apply pressure and keep up with horns footwork, even when hurt in round 9, while Manny is throwing the kitchen at horn, he is bouncing on his feet turning shifting, closing him in, not allowing him to breathe...
Horn had a masterful strategy, and was able to land some lasers that shook Manny to the core a few times...Manny need to focus elsewhere Horn would be too tough to beat in a rematch, with added confidence of a clean win IMO
Manny need to move down a division or two, hard to beat fighters 20 pounds heavier when u 40 and just trying to make a check...

Had me like nah I'm being biased 5-2, 4-3 to see how the fight played out, still found horn winning by 2-3 rounds at the end.... Boxing rounds are 3 min, not 30 sec, and Manny was so washed he landed a few lefts, but he land no hammers, no haymakers everything late or grazing
chico corrales had to beg the ref to not end the fight with castillo.
in a fight Frazier was winning he begged his corner not to throw in the towel Thriller in Manilla, and they threw their towel in before Ali was able to get word in that he was quitting.
Tim Bradley begged the ref not to stop the fight when he outboxed Provodnikov with a concussion.
All that to say, telling the ref not to stop the fight after a round, doesn't mean shyt, and is one of the dumbest excuses I've ever heard for saying someone won a fight.
Manny has been depreciating at an amazing rate since the #ToradolTruth came out. He wasn't even able to land the sharp counters this fight. Legs looked they were frozen, compared to the Manny from BATB3.
shyt Vargas was a 7-5 type of fight too, Manny might be done
He needs a big name that would make him fight with fear, or a move down to face people his size, but the end may be near if u can't separate yourself from the Vargas level fighters
Manny better be thankful the ref kept pulling horn to fix his tape on his gloves at horrible times, horn landed a laser in round 11 or 12 that buzzed the shyt out of Manny but he stopped the action to cut tape....
The ref was damn good split down the middle, and let both fighters work and get dirty...Horn had a choice to quit or could have laid down n put his ass in the air doing backflips like Bradley, the ref asked him what a good ref would, was he game and wanted to fight or cash checks, and when horn said he was game n showed he was game he ain't spot anything about a stoppage thereafter....
Besides....Manny was calling the ring doctor after his headbutts, that boy would have tried to quit if he didn't know he was already losing on the cards
Manny knew he lost he went to his corner knelt n cried post fight pre decision

Yep, horn got the edge on Manny for ore rounds for me simply off ring generalship. Their punches outside the 1 round were having the same effect, both were getting landed on, so it was where the fight was happening that got Horn to nod for me. This is clearly one of the critieria for scoring, so I don't understand why some people are acting like its a robbery and the only conclusion was that Manny should have won.
