The truth is he would've probably been in the same position as Madlib :francis: stuck in a ridiculous slave deal he signed eons ago because he only cared about the music at the time

All of those stones throw styled dudes got caught up in ridiculous deals that fukk them over even after death, pretty sure Doom's spouse is still having issues with them people and he's on the Mount Rushmore of underground rap

Alc was on more of a bigger scale having actual hit mainstream records so he was always bound to learn more about the business than them

I could see Dilla doing a lot of production on TPAB
That album is mentioned in his book because there was so many Dilla “disciples” that all came together for that project. It’s the only thing in recent memory that has a Soulquarians type of sound.
