definitely agree that it’s cheesy…decent action but otherwise very forgettable movie…I can see why I barely remembered anything about it

There's still parts of the movie I didn't understand like he was killed because he was gonna snitch on dirty cops but the guys who killed him was dirty cops dressed like gang members?!?

Wasn't just what he knew, but who he knew it about. Crews left Forrest Whittaker's unit, and was a dangerous loose end, since he had been talking to Hugh Laurie, who was about to drop charges on Whittaker's head. They killed the two goons ahead of time so the investigation would be a dead end no matter what, since they planted their DNA on the scene. The dirty cops who executed the hit were smaller fish, so they weren't a risk to snitch, and could easily have been handled.
