I see the deliberately obtuse posts in here. It’s cool. I expected it. I guess half of the other people on social media and other message boards, must wear tin foil hats too since they made similar observations.:jbhmm:
most of these obtuse posts are from cacs. again the majority of this site is no longer black. just cacs very good at replicating speech patterns.

So many psyops running against us at the moment.

All I can to say to my fellow brothers is stay aware and be ready for anything. I’m not liking the energy coming from all of this and that’s all I have to say.
Wallahi that's facts

Imagine if we didn't have the coli, you would feel insane thinking you are the only one seeing all this shyt unfold:francis:

I see what you are saying but I think we can clarify.

I don't think many BM, OP included, would have problem with this image in a normal society. Black societies have many times embraced women leaders not only here but back in many parts of Africa where there was no beef with women inheriting property, ruling, etc. As a default I am fine with Black women leaders.

OP's point though is people juelzing in this thread about this cover out of context. The Black family has been in the cross hairs for a while. Earl Ofari Hutchison wrote the Assasination of the Black Male Image almost 30 years back and it still rings true. People don't realize a lot of "liberals" and "conservatives" think it is fine to revile young Black males but if they like Black women and older Black people it can't be racist because they don't hate all Blacks equally. I have actually read this argument in major newspapers.

I am not into gender wars--Black men and women are digging our own grave if we publicly air our dirty laundry and stay at each other's throats--but I noticed the definite change in tone over the last decade. The turning point when I noticed something was different was the Roy Moore election in Alabama. After his defeat there was this whole narrative about how Black women were the reason for victory. Of course he wouldn't have been defeated without Black women votes, that isn't completely wrong, but it's not like Black men didn't overwhelmingly vote against him either. Even if Black male turnout was less, if we would have stayed home there would be a pedo senator (likely not the first) from Alabama right now. Not a peep about how White and Hispanic men and women voted for him in large numbers. The rest of this society outside of Black America is going farther and farther right wing yet Black men are being set up to be blamed for any electoral loss to the GOP. Mark my word, in the elections this fall when Democrats lose close races there will be grumbling about how we didn't vote more--ignoring young White turnout is atrocious as well. Then there is the almost compulsion to show young Black women without a Black male partner in advertising and entertainment over the last decade or so. I am concerned if my daughter will grow up watching TV shows that scream "Black men are not options for smart girls".

A lot of people do not understand the difference between the Black community doing a better job at empowering and elevating our women, which needs to be done, and "empowering" Black women in a way that suggests their true elevation can only come despite of, or against, Black men. If the latter narrative wasn't taking legs so much in the 21st century, only tin foil idiots would care about this cover.

My brother's keeper
The tone of the picture is that black men apparently important enough to be on the cover as the woman and child.

They claim black lives matter, but what was so hard to have a black man on the cover as well.

My question is why is it only a single mother and her child front and center? Where is her husband, where is his father?
Killing black men is creating single mothers..where is her husband and his father? shot by the police

All imma say is this. Actual black masculine men gotta walk away from nutcases like the dude who made the picture and the people in here defending them. Let them nikkas cower behind women and children, they like that role.

No substantial change is going to come from appealing to your oppressor. Force only respects force. And I'm not talking about burning down your own neighborhoods. The freedom we seek isn't going to just happen overnight. Our current path only leads to us changing the face of our oppressors.

Build a proper family, teach your children discipline, financial responsibility, stack money, and network with people who are on the same wave. Learn to shoot and develop a "chess" like mindstate where you can anticipate the moves of your opponents instead of constantly reacting.

That will lead to communities of like minded people. When you actually control (and can defend) your own communities you can control what goes on in them and what will and won't be allowed.

Women who have their heads on their shoulders will naturally fall in line. Leave the rest of them to die fighting for a seat at the white man's table.

Malcolm X said the most disrespected person on the planet is the Black Woman.

Then the most feared and hated person on the planet is the Black Man...by default.

Either way I'm going to fall into gender divisions cause judging by the fact that black men and black women and black children are being killed by police and white supremacists...i really have my doubts the status quo cares about our well being during this time. We're still collectively a nuisance to them...they just want our money...

None of their efforts are truly going to uplift black people...this is all for symbolism and show. They arent really putting in the efforts to make the neccessary changes to dismantle this system they benefit from.

Straight like that :wow:
