Finally got to watch the last two cards..
Wanna start off by saying I think I've been a little too hard on Berto lately. Never really fully took in consideration his past injuries like I should have, even though I knew about them.. Berto is still a very entertaining fighter and I look forward to seeing him in the ring again... Im glad he's finally able to pull himself out of that slump
The Mattysse/Ortiz stoppage was complete utter bullshyt. Nothing more can really be said about it.
AB did what he had to do and clutched it the fukk out with a spectacular KD in the end.. that flurry into that upperhook was a thing of beauty..Although, up until the stoppage, had I not known the outcome of the fight, I would've been really worried about AB. Whenever that nikka starts getting cocky, he gets carless.. He was getting hit way more than he should havee.. Also, getting rid of that weak ass shoulder roll was smartest thing he could possibly do.. that goes for Berto as well...them two nikkas were on the verge of getting killed with that shyt.
Looking forward to possibly seeing AB in the ring with Matthysse, he will definitely have his hands full..
Emanuel Taylor proved he could fight a full 12 rounds and had a lot of successful moments.. He brought the fight to AB at every moment and managed to get AB on the ropes multiple times landing some good shots... Fight is in strong contention for FOTY.. definitely wouldn't be opposed to a rematch

Broner isn't more skilled offensively, because we haven't seen that since his fight vs DeMarco. If he gets clean vs Lucas more than once or twice it's gonna be over, he can't handle the power--now the offensive repetoire that the Mafia bring to the table. AB just beat Emmanuel Taylor who is barely top 15 at 140, and beat him 7-5+1 point KD. Why do you think he'd fare better against Lucas?
Emmanuel Taylor is ranked higher than John Molina at 140...and Matthysse struggled heavily with Molina.
Adrien Broner is more skilled than Matthysse offensively and defensively breh. What can Matthysse do that Broner cannot do better? Nothing.
You talk about Matthysse power, which is really good, but Broner went 12 with a bigger fighter in Marcos Maidana who has great power as well...and was able to back him up, walk him down at some points, and hurt him per Maidana's own words. He climbed off the deck twice to finish the fight, but Im supposed to just believe Matthysse KOs him? Nah.
Matthysse is smaller than Maidana and is easy to hit as well. He ALSO doesn't have the greatest chin himself and for all his power, couldn't finish Zab Judah who's known to have a China chin
Matthysse is a cool fighter, but there's nothing about him that makes me feel AB cannot beat him
I'd give a slight edge to Matthysse, but it's a close call. Matthysse hasn't shown the ability to KO elite fighters. He HAS shown the ability to hurt them though. Danny Garcia is the only elite fighter Matthysse hasn't dropped at least once. That makes me think Broner will be down at least once, or will at least get buzzed. I do think Broner will hold up more like John Molina than Peterson. The only way I see Broner getting KOed is through an accumulation of punches.
Also, Matthysse is a better boxer than Maidana, so those triangle theories don't really hold up IMO. Devon Alexander went 12 with Maidana, didn't go down, and cruised to victory. Matthysse had a close fight and dropped Alexander. Same with Judah, who Danny Garcia didn't KO either.
And Broner doesn't throw enough or move enough to give Matthysse the trouble that Alexander, Judah, and Garcia did. I do think the post-Garcia Matthysse's chin is weaker and can be dropped too. But I don't think he has the power to hurt Matthysse enough to stop him. So there will be knock downs and crazy exchanges. I'd just favor Matthysse, because he'll be more active and has more power.
If Broner can handle Matthysse's power, it ends up a close, ugly fight that's tough to judge.
It's a hard fight to call at this time. I'm taking Broner by SD over Matthysse, but I don't rule out Matthysse winning either.
I feel if Matthysse doesn't KO or drop Broner at least twice, he loses. They both have their own strengths and weaknesses, so it's tough, but I hope the fight happens. I think it will be a great matchup/atmosphere for that fight.
don't forget the epic shyttalking just like Matthysse/Garcia was
