I'm not gonna lie, Matthysse would be a tough fight (that we would still win) due to his power and the fact AB has tendencies to just stand against the ropes taking punches and not throwing back n/h
This was a damn good match up
Just because you weren't aware of who Taylor was doesn't mean this wasn't a good match up
The reality of it is, he just got to a new weight class at 140, & they are slowly increasing his opposition. They let him have a gimme against Molina. This was a fight to really see exactly where he is at in this division. He very well could have lost this fight. He definitely still needs to develop.
The problem with Broner is he's so popular that they tried to fast track this guy when he should have still been developing.

referee ron lipton used to post on boxing message boards and said pomoters used to come by before fights and tell him they want the fight stopped at the first sign in favor of their fighter. he said he had to get out of the referee business because he couldnt handle how crooked it is. notice when he reffed for roy jones vs bryant brannon he gave brannon every chance to come back resulting in that iconic moment of roy taking a step back and asking lipton to stop the fight right before dropping brannon visciously ending the fight legitimately. thats one of the only refs out there that wasnt bought. all these refs are bought and paid for. any time you see a guy beat a ten count and still get stopped by the referee, thats a referee that had a promoter stop by before the fight and give him a little talk. these early stoppages not only do they rob the fans they rob the fighter who is fighting to make a living build up his name and feed him and his family. with that said, that body shot matthysse hit him with, is solidifying in my mind that matthysse has got to be one of the sneakiest punchers of all time. some of these knock downs and knock outs matthysse has it just looks like a guy poking all kinds of little holes in these fighters. one weakness matthysse has is that he is a little more technically minded than his record suggests and just like a technician if he gets in the ring with a guy thats more of a pure boxer he can end up playing catch up all night. thats what got him in some problems against danny garcia. so with that said broner matches up against matthysse a little better than he matched up with maidana.
Man they are so rachet lolAre the hoes out?![]()
