Adrien Broner Promises Big Win: I Have No More Flaws!

Former three division world champion Adrien Broner (28-1, 22KOs) was flying high when he entered the ring for last December's fight against Marcos Maidana. In one of the year's biggest upsets, Maidana dropped Broner twice and captured his WBA welterweight title with a twelve round unanimous decision.
After the fight was over, Broner cut down on his late night partying and dropped down in weight to 140-pounds - a division he skipped when he jumped from 135 to 147 in June of 2013 against Paulie Malignaggi.
“I learned I need to stay in shape. Before the Maidana fight it felt like I was unstoppable, I could do anything. I could just go back in the ring and everything would be normal. But after the fight I realized I have to slow down. I can still be me and have fun, but I can’t be beating up my body. I have no more flaws. I put down everything. Now I just have fun, I stay in shape and I keep positive people around," Broner said.
Later tonight, before his hometown fans at the U.S. Bank Arena in Cincinnati, Broner will face Emanuel Taylor (18-2, 12KOs) in a Showtime televised fight. Broner wants to impress the crowd and plans to chase a knockout victory.
"He knows what he's in for. Everybody knows what they're in for when they fight a guy like me. But, at the end of the day, I'm going to be victorious," Broner said. "I've been motivated to knock him out since this fight was announced. I'm at home, this is my homecoming. This is what I do at home."
