Preparation has gone well and a 5-0 thrashing of Hungary in Austria earlier this month had their Group A opponents a little nervous until it turned out that the losers were not, as first thought, the Hungarian national team but a Under-17 National Minority team that consisted of young Romani.

• The U.S. created baseball. Cuba, Japan, Dominican republic and many other countries could take the sh!t at any time right now
• Yes we run the world in technology. But you have to understand that when these other countries were at the top THEY had the latest technology too for that time period.

This is why im concerned about schools in the U.S. Too often our universities are viewed more for their athletics than actual academics. There is a reason why you see most of our technology experts are indian. India, about 20 years ago went into a massive overhaul of its educational system in order to make it better. And the results are obvious now with Indian engineers all over the world running sh!t.

What are we doing in the meantime?

Quadrippling the cost of education while offering free scholarships to "student athletes" of whom 3/4 will not even attempt to really take a challenging degree to develop their brains and really have a shot at a career. When you consider that only about 5 to 10 percent of these "student athletes" actually go to the pros (let along make it once they go) you have a lot of wasted scholarships while the University still gets its money and the government aint doing sh!t to improve the affordability of an education. So what happens is your companies who need talent with actual grey matter have to look overseas and hire indian and chinese firms and even recruit students overseas to come be their lead experts in technology.

Quick examples:

• The company i work for staffs mostly Chinese, Indian and Russian software developpers.
• As i type this i am in the UK visiting the Cisco offices in Reading for a project and Cisco being an American Company i see mostly Indian and Asians in their R&D teams. I've been to the Cisco Offices in North Carolina and it's the same thing.

So when you take those things into account and despite that you're not doing much to improve the educational system when you know damn well that's way of the future youre just putting yourself in a spot where you're being complacent.
AND THAT MY FRIEND IS THE BEGINNING OF OUR DOWNFALL.
