the threads are all repetitive now.

thirsty dudes talking about women
real men vs fake men threads
disgusting perverted stuff
the same type of relatio ship threads....

its the misc of the coli now.

looks like "all that talk about race" was the only thing keeping TLR afloat, and NONE of the serial complainers are in there making quality threads now that there's all this space and opportunity.

cue the next "how do I put on a condom in the dark" thread

:mjlol:

those threads didnt just pop up over night though. they've been there. if trl is unbearable then the only thing that was keeping it bearable for you was the race threads which are simply located in their own forum now, its not like they've been deleted. i understand having race threads in that environment leads to a lot of replies but it just seems that race discussions and all that shyt you just mentioned are at total opposite ends of the spectrum. lumping them together created large threads but it was basically an open invitation for race trolling and baiting.

when we separated the arcadium it was a somewhat similar situation, the gaming talk had deteriorated so much with all the trolling that it was driving people away from the forum that wanted to talk about things other than gaming. lots of people hated the move, but most of them have since changed their mind. the arcadium looked a little funny in the light once we removed the tv and movie threads and exposed just how bad that forum had gotten. now its taken some time but the arcadium has finally started to rebound and is doing much better. the film room has done well from the start. all we ask is people give this a chance to see how it works and we're hoping it does.

have you seen this thread? http://www.thecoli.com/threads/the-race-track-movement-are-we-for-real-or-just-talk.248095/ theres some good ideas being tossed around in there that hopefully show the potential this forum could have

Its getting out of hand and I'm talking specifically about threads. Any thread that has just a little element of "race" in it is moved to this section. For example this thread.
http://www.thecoli.com/threads/the-africa-the-media-doesnt-tell-you-about.211483/

Which has zero to do about race. Like I said it seems any threads that has a small hint of "race" in it are thrown into this section. And I'm mostly talking about threads from the HL section.

Yes I agree with the Mods that the race track can be a good idea of discussing racial matters, but the mods should try to know the difference between a thread based on race and a thread that is not like the one I posted. That thread was just talking about African accomplishment and how its progressing currently. Hardly anything to do with "race".

What's wrong with that thread being moved here, that discussion can't be had here?

IMO the thing is the thread has very little to do with race. I doubt the topic creator intended that. Inside that thread we mostly posted about matters concerning the state of Africa; economy, employment, current events, business/investment, government, etc. Matters of race were not the object discussion in that thread.

I have no problems with you or any moderator moving this thread like this to this section:
http://www.thecoli.com/threads/sudan-a-black-nation.233368/

^^^Since I intended "race" to be the object discussion in that thread. But in that African thread we discussed more complex and diverse matters than race. The main poster of that thread @Dreamestorical kept us updated on the current matters of Africa, mainly Nigeria. Nigeria which is a country and not a race.

So imo that thread is more suited for the Higher Learning, because it discusses news, politics, business/investment,etc. While you can freely move my "Sudan a black nation?" thread here, where I do intend to add to it.

Again my opinion.

Props for honest answer, I think the reason that thread was brought here was because a lot of African American posters have shown a interest in moving back to the mother land and that thread is a wealth of knowledge, I understand your point though that it doesn't fit the race criteria but I still think it can flourish here too

I don't think that thread will really offer this section much. African Americans moving back to Africa doesn't seem much like a "racial" discussions to me. Not only that but those conversations more seemed off-topic and personal than what the thread was created for.

Threads like these would benefit this section more::manny:
http://www.thecoli.com/threads/egyptian-girl-speaks-out-do-you-agree.209314/
http://www.thecoli.com/threads/deadliest-black-warriors-appreciation-thread.207473/
http://www.thecoli.com/threads/lmao-old-school-eurocentrism.214542/
http://www.thecoli.com/threads/the-color-black-in-its-original-african-context.219793/
http://www.thecoli.com/threads/black-inspiration-a-way-to-defeat-c00ning-and-white-supremacy.223624/

^^^Again intended those threads for deep "racial" discussions.

And feel free to move them here. But that African thread is more suited for the HL. Again the discussions in that thread are complex and diverse.
