Wigs started perhaps in the 1700s and weaves started in the 1960s-1970s

The weave did not start on black people...so no big deal to us so of course, everybody had to talk sh!t on black women for wearing weave. At the same time, I do love to see black women growing natural hair and they do wearing weave so much these days.
