only issue I have ever had with the MBP is when iTunes got slow for version 12.3. But that issue has been fixed and it's all smooth sailing.

SSD hard drive got the batteries lasting well over 8 hours as well.

Don't know if I want a MacBook or iMac. I feel like the MacBook might be overkill with having a iPhone and iPad already.

I have all three. No iMac. But I rarely use my iPad cuz it's the first mini and slow. I just leave it in my kitchen and use it randomly if I happen to be sitting at the counter.

I want a Macbook too, but I am concerned about HD space. I need at least 500, 128 just seems small to me. :ld:

The thing will Apple is there is always new shyt in 6 months and I am like should I wait? :lupe: because I don't really need it.

I bought mines off the apple refurb site. I just waited til they had the one with the 500GB since I knew I couldn't upgrade it.

Did you get the latest model or an older one? I always wonder what is too old to buy? 2013? 2014?
Apple always got them new operating systems.

mines says late 2013. but there's really no difference in the 2014 vs 2013 (given you got the newer 2013 model with the SSD standard). 2014 has a slightly faster standard cpu. but the storage and memory options I believe are the same in both models. the 2015 allows 16GB of RAM I believe. in mines, the max was 8GB.

Alright this speakers crackling noise is starting to get on my nerves

shyts happening every day

El Capitan is also weird as shyt. I think when I was using my Air earlier this year, it was still on Mavericks. El Capitan is just so much extra, like the full screen button opens an entire new slide. So you can't easily drag tabs or files/folders.

they are built to last

after a couple years windows laptops gets destroyed by viruses, overheat, the motherboard cracked from too many drops or the port where you plug in the power gets damaged really badly which makes it a bytch just to charge.

macbooks are tougher and you can install windows safely on another partition

The first macbook I bought was a POS. The case kept cracking and eventually caused the motherboard and the hardware port to short out. People love to give windows shyt, but Macs have a lot of hardware problems too.

I had the laptop replaced twice by Apple and by the 3rd time it broke I threw that shyt in the garbage.

And I always laugh when people talk about the lack of viruses on a mac. Ya'll have no clue :mjlol:

Nah, Windows 10 has the crown. My MacBook defaults to boot into Windows 10 over OS X. Anything outside of xcode I do on Windows.

Hell, Windows 8 > Yosemite.

OS X has been through some rough times post Snow Leopard.

people confuse Windows 10 being better than OS X just because its the first good Windows in years

yes, windows 10 was a bigger jump especially compared to el capitan which was more of a fine tuning.

to each his own though! hey @Liquid how much room does the Windows 10 partition take up on your harddrive

The bolded is nonsense, Windows 7, 8 and 10 are better than any OS X version post Snow Leopard.

El Capitan was fine tuning the turd OS X Yosemite was.

I think my partition is at 80GB for Windows 10, you can set it to whatever you want. I would go no lower than 40GB
