I stopped reading almost immediately cause I'm confused at that overtime law?

I was making 40k base salary last year for a public corporation and had overtime every damn pay period...

What law is this guy talking about

my frend..uwar stupit..paying ot is up to de employa..de point of de law is to giv de liberty to pay a neega mekin 40k salary vs exempt salary where as u cannot pay a neega making 23k via salary...if yo job wanted to remove yo ot dey could but if u was mekin 23k dey could not..foolish boy!

It comes down to the emoplyer if that OT law is accurate. But most employers wouldn't make overtime mandatory if they didn't pay time and a half. And there are employers that won't pay overtime but again this is rare.
