Hated him in Detroit, the owner thought he was the next Dwight Howard and tried to build around him :mjlol:

But respect to Andre for being self-aware. At least dude is owning up to having a shytty attitude in the past.
Easy to admit your mistakes when you 100 m's up.

That's part of it, but the other part was his game play no longer fitting in with what most teams were trying to do. Combined with the teams that could've used him going with full-rebuild mode. If they don't want you, none of anything else matters, so the narrative gets shifted.

There's plenty of shytty teammates/morons/culture killers that keep jobs. However, the reciprocal IS true. A high-value/high-morale dude will highly increase your chances of staying on a bench somewhere...it just doesn't guarantee it.
Yeah once people figured out all Drummond could do at a high level was rebound it was a wrap. His offense was very inconsistent, he complained if he didn't get enough touches and his defense was pretty shaky.

He's one of those guys that were born 30 years too late

I mean... it was always comical seeing those no-name create-a-player ass dudes at the end of every NBA team's bench standing bunched together damn near doing back flips and "hold me back!" gestures after every semi-big play, and knowing every 20 combo secret hand shake for every starter by heart.

But it makes sense. If you on a 10-day contract after spending the last 3 years hoopin in Russia, you will not be the one nygga caught not cheering when the superstar of your team is checking out his highlights on youtube :mjlol:
Imagine him at the end of the bench like :unimpressed:

This has always obviously been the case. It’s why Deandre Jordan and udonis haslem can get end of bench contracts for as long as they want him but boogie can get a job. The difference between what they give on the court isn’t worth the issues he’s gonna cause behind the scenes.

Anyone thinking guys are being blackballed think the league is just 2k and the human element doesn’t matter at all. Disrespectful to guys like mahmoud Abdul Rauf that actually got blackballed.

Bruh it’s 2023. Them nikkas you listed aren’t getting signed cause they’re old & washed.

Woods situation idk but the other 3 aren’t getting signed when you can get better & younger players for a lower price.

Y’all really be bringing up Melo & boogie like it’s 2010 :dead:

AND THERES STILL
WORSE, WASHED LESS IMPACTFUL
PLAYERS IN THE LEAGUE.

BOOGIE IS BETTER THAN
GUYS LIKE DEANDRE JORDAN
WHO BEEN WASHED
BUT ALWAYS
HAS A JOB DUE TO WHAT
THE DRUMMOND IS TALKING ABOUT.

SAME FOR DWIGHT HOWARD...

MELO IS MUCH BETTER THAN
BLAKE GRIFFIN AT THIS POINT
BUT WHO WAS STILL IN THE LEAGUE
LAST SEASON?

Mahmoud was ousted for the reason that Drummond brings up. His teammates and coach hated him.

I didn’t know he was a a-hole but I always thought it was weird how one season he was scoring 17 with about 13-14 boards then the next season on the Cavs he can’t do shyt

Lol this should be obvious to anyone.

If you're a good communicator, even if you aren't that great at your job, you'll manage to stay employed because they simply like you or believe in your bullshyt longer than they should.

Many of NBA bench warmers stay employed because obviously they can talk to the players so they are useful at practice or keep locker room more sane.

yup just be quiet, smile if you play smile if you don't. Work hard in practice, help out the coach, talk to the rookies and young players , and be respected = long nba career.
