The divestor thing is a good point in that it shows how hypocritical the whole issue is (not y'all). I can understand having reservations about how some of these dudes conduct themselves, yet at the same time, our own people turned a blind eye to the divestor shyt while amplifying and leading the charge on the anti-passport bros movement. Many of them brought other non-black people into it as well, as a means of getting those non-blacks to do something. When it was reported on the news, it was black people up there doing the reporting. When Hollerman was in trouble, it was black people (with a white boyfriend) that reported him and so on. Some situations made sense, like the guy acting pedo. A lot of them don't.

Also, there is a joke of a list of things a black man can't do. It's taken as a joke but it underlies a reality that is often ignored in how everyone constantly tries to police the fukk out of black men. Maybe because I live my life on some "fukk you, make me" type mentality in regards to most things but I can't rock with some of the shyt out here.

I would say the divester movement and passport movement grew hand in hand. A lot of wannabe divesters (who are not with any man but making noise on the internet) were in response to black men saying they are done with black women, outright shytting on Black women, and saying they are going to get other races of women (but they also are really with no one and are just being loud on the internet). The rhetoric on men’s side has decreased since it’s not as publicly acceptable to say those things like it was a few years ago. Divester rhetoric has increased because they haven’t received their reckoning yet (but it’s coming).

So i see what you’re saying but some Black men bring a lot of negative attention to themselves. Just like a lot of people are starting to peep how crazy these divester chicks are.
