This is what the legacy of ‘white privilege’ looks like in Bill O’Reilly’s hometown

Capitalism is behind the profit motive that animated the government policy, though. Value is the bottom line here.
I disagree, I believe it was racism, and racism alone that animated these policies.
In fact i think... actually I know that discriminatory policies like this would be/and are implemented at a loss, just to keep minorities out.
The system(capitalism) IMO is irrelevant to these instances of govt. discrimination.

Moreover, I think conditions for blacks during that time would have been much worse under any of the other popular economic models. Imagine full govt. control in a climate like this. Black Wallstreet would have been impossible.

I truly believe that Reagan was the Godfather of White Privilege. I refuse to let him off the hook. Reaganomics(for those who don't know was really an excuse for more guns and less butter) had cold stopped black progress in the 80s. All Bill O'Reilly is doing is just adding fuel to the fire.

It's easy for him to say that there is no such thing as White Privelege because he benefited from White Privilege.

If whites stick together why did they make Obama president in a country that is only 14% black?

So much fail in this post.

If you truly believe that Reagan was the cause of white privilege, then you really don't understand the history of racism. White privilege existed LOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNG before the 80s. Pick up a history book. Do some research.:beli:

With the nonsense spewed in this thread, I swear some posters were born in the 90s and are regurgitating what people told them about racism.

I can't take you seriously after you stated that Reagan was the Godfather of white privilege. You deserve a neg for that.

Pick up a history book.
Okay, so enlighten me.

I'll wait.

If you really feel "Reagan was the Godfather of White Privilege" explain more in depth why...

The same people who believe drug laws were used to hurt the black community probably enjoy listening to Jay-Z, Rick Ross & Jeezy.

Drugs don't have a color preference of which people they destroy, just look at Mexico.
