Seeing somebody walk around like that is like watching a king crab season himself with old bay

Thanks @Toe Jay Simpson

Even though he was referring to people who walk around with earbuds/pods stuck in their ears, the same can be said about people who open carry.

You’re nothing but a big ol’ target. You’re literally walking around with hundreds of dollars dangling off your hip. And if someone wanted your gun it’d be nothing to simply knock you clean tf out as you’re walking by, and take it.

Or creep you from behind as you’re leaving the store and slap you in a choke hold as their partners emerge from the behind the other parked cars and restrain you and relieve you of your possessions. Better hope that chokehold isn’t tight enough to put you to sleep.

Or they could simply walk up to you and pull their strap and rob you for yours. What are you going to do, be like billy the kid the fastest draw in the west and pull your gun out and shoot them in time?

If you want to carry your gun with you then the safest way to do it is concealed. Stop looking like an idiot out here. You simply look like a target, like a damn “King crab seasoning itself with Old Bay”.

I’m not anti-gun, but it seems like some people are HOPING for an opportunity to shoot someone. It’s like they fantasize about being the heroes.

I think in a mass shooting situation, if multiple people pull guns, who do you know who to shoot, and who do the COPS know to shoot, and how do you shoot the shooter while people are running around?

seems like attention whoring. i have a friend who wears her stupid pink pistol and matching holster :stopitslime: still probably wouldn't know what tf to do if a situation called for it

Well I didn’t want to go there, wanted to just give practical warrior IQ/life saving reasons against openly broadcasting a weapon in that manner,
but, in reality we all know that’s about 90% why people do it- attention. And it’s so cringey :snoop:

It's me...I'm "people"....but I don't wanna be a hero. I just wanna let the hammer ring.

But I was thinking about the bolded after the garlic fest. I was thinking like "man, I need to have the blik on me just to be out w/ my family. I'ma have to reach for the waist if somethin like that happen"'. But then I thought "shyt what if the popo wet my shyt up confusing me for the bogeys?" Then I thought "what if I eliminate the threat, and they still lock me up, on some racist shyt?" :yeshrug: oh well...I'm still airin nikkas out like Nike

Being in a mass shooting situation doesn't make you lose the ability of common sense, situational awareness or communication.

Even if you have a gun and you're the good guy, you take cover so you can assess the situation. It becomes blatantly apparently very quickly if someone is shooting random people or shooting a targeted person or targeted group of people.

Once you engage the suspect and eliminate the threat, you reassess the situation make sure there aren't multiple shooters, look for the next threat or hazard, is there a fire? Is the floor wet from blood or people running and knocking shyt over, are there people with injuries that need to be tended to, are there people still hiding that you can direct to a safer area or an exit?

Once there is no longer a human threat (another suspect shooter) you reholster your weapon take care of injured people, redirect others and wait for police.

You don't lose the ability to see or communicate with others just because someone starts shooting, you make eye contact with people, tell them to stay down or run, announce the shooter is down, communicate that you are the good guy or trying to help.
