That was always the plan. I am pleasantly surprised that they stuck to it and didn't try to milk it.
Random: Anybody else think Randall and Kevin aged pretty badly in 10-12 years? nikkas went from looking 30 at 40 to looking 70 in their early 50s.
The way they force wrote the whole covid-19 current event into the show......
Of course they would write that ending as a cliffhanger.... This show will never end....
I think they have done a great job incorporating the pandemic and even basing storylines off of it (Rebecca's dementia episode aside, but their hands were tied there). It makes me wonder what they were planning to do if there was no pandemic.
