She's giving him a platform to get his name out there to the casuals who do not know him, providing his back story (which is an excellent backstory), and feeding him to the folks who visit Huffington Post.com vs us who visit Boxing websites.

I approve of this article, AND, it's absolutely right. Boxing does need a Heavyweight attraction that's from the USA, and Wilder can be that man to take Boxing back to prominence as long as he continues to win and KO everyone in his path.

The article isn't about Floyd vs Wilder. It's about exposing the WBC Heavyweight Champion, the last man to win a Gold Medal from the USA in Boxing, who's all about the KO.

I've said it countless times, Deontay Wilder should be running Boxing right now and Al Haymon is doing a HORRIBLE job promoting him. Wilder with Arum or Don King would be a cash cow right now:whew:
The premise is actually really good, it just could have been executed better.

She threw in the one sentence shot at Mayweather, which derails the positive direction the article could take. And she barely touched on why Wilder could save boxing from Floyd.

The logic that Floyd and Manny have held the pinnacle of boxing hostage and there has been no transition to build the next generation to take that PPV crown is legitimate. Also the fact that having an American heavyweight is probably the best way to get casuals interested back into the next generation.

If she focused on that, then included all her stuff on bringing Wilder to the public like she did, then the article would have been on point.

I also agree that it is a bit confusing that there is an American HW champion yet no one knows who he is. Haymon arguably should be promoting him more than anyone, because the payoff really is the greatest if Wilder continues winning.

No one cares about him because the nikka ain't fought nobody except for Stiverne's bum ass. :camby:

Haymon knows whats up, because he keeping this nikka far away from dudes like Potevkin/Klitschko. Potevkin gets named the mandatory, and they match Wilder up with Duhaupas? :stopitslime:

It doesn't take anything away from his personality, but obviously Haymon thinks he ain't up there, or he ain't confident in himself to start boxing more cats who are considered top heavyweights other than Bermane fukking Stiverne. :francis:

Outside of the gratuitous Floyd bashing...it was an excellent read :ehh:

Sadly...throwing that Floyd shyt in there is the only way this article gets clicks :francis:

As @Newzz already pointed out....Haymon has done about as awful a job as you can possibly do on the promotional side...given all the circumstances...Wilder has every upside going for him to be built into a star (a Heavyweight KO artist who's extremely personable and markatable) he had a lot momentum and buzz going into the Stiverne fight and immediately after and Haymon has been dropping the ball with him on the promotional end ever since the Stiverne fight and allowed the buzz to dry up...

I gotta say though...there's some striking irony in this article given the fact that Wilder got arrested last year for (allegedly) going all wayne brady on some hooker in a hotel room :pachaha:

shyt got dismissed though.

You best believe... if Wilder, inshallah, dethrones Wlad and becomes the man in the division and the sport, that shyt will most definitely be brought back up.

Absolute bullshyt.
OK, you and your Capt. Save-A-Ho ass clique have convinced me that poor put upon Floyd Mayweather is horribly maligned by the evil white media through no fault of his own because of the grand conspiracy to drag the good name of Money Mayweather through the dirt. I just pray to my sweet lord Jesus that poor Floyd doesn't do himself any harm what with this nonstop media attack against him that has to be weighing on his psyche something fierce.:lupe:

Povetkin is gonna be every bit as easy a fight as Stiverne was if not easier. :stopitslime:

There's nothing wrong with squeezing a few stay busy fights in between mandatories...or is lil g only afforded this convenience. :jbhmm:

Even Wlad takes stay busy fights against lesser op in between mandatories.

Povetkin will be dealt with early next year and will magically transform into a bum the sunday after the fight just like Stiverne was.

Not a fan of feminism, especially as preached and practiced by the current third wave generation who overdo it with accusations of sexism and misogyny, false narratives, twisted statistics, hash tags, misquotes, faux outrage, etc. That said, I feel the OP in being irritated with this article's inclusion of Floyd Mayweather. Still, that's actually a compliment to Mayweather. For the same reason MMA fighters keep his name in their mouth for their own self promotion and publicity, this writer used Mayweather's name to get clicks for her article. Ron Rousey basically sucked his dikk in the media to promote herself. 50 called out names in How to Rob, Donald Trump calls out names of media heads and competitors, and it works. It gets attention, it gets people talking. Is it corny and often cheap and without class? Of course it is. So long as you recognize it for what it is, I think thats all that should matter. That being cognizant of how this system works including the media. The white media makes meat out of some, bones out of others. In this case its white liberal feminist media getting their vulture on for self gain out of someone else's success. However, Floyd left himself open to that with his behavior. He did his time, doesn't mean people have to like him.

Besides, in this case it benefits Wilder. Him being a Haymon client, I dont think Floyd will have a huge issue with this article. Neither should you.

Wilder is still gonna be big. He's already among the top and has beaten the 6 ranked heavyweight according to ring. Fury and Klitschko are set to fight. I see him being really big in due time. I'm predicting that in one to two years he would have fought another 2 out of the top 10.
