High probability of a upset here compared to other GGG fights
Monroe has all the tools to beat GGG...Southpaw, quick feet, good movement & balance. Good jab. And even with the Sven Ottke-like KO ratio, he throws some sharp, accurate, well-timed punches...GGG's gonna have fits with this kid in the center of the ring...problem is...there's a big ? mark about his ability to fight a disciplined enough fight for the full 12 without GGG eventually catching him with something big, being that he's never fought at this level before...and if he does get caught with that big shot or big shot
s (which he will) does he have a good enough beard to stay upright and keep his faculties in order...the only other puncher i see on his resume is Darnell Boone who was able to put him on his ass...Monroe is gonna have to box a perfect, calculated and carefully measured fight in order to come away with a W. He has a very small window for mistakes here.. but.he does have the skillset to pull it off, but can he box in a measured & disciplined fashion for the full 12? Given his lack of experience against world class opponents, sadly i doubt it. I see him outboxing GGG for the 1st few rds, while GGG is gonna find it hard to land clean head shots on Monroe and commit more to the body, which in turn is going to eventually open up lanes to Monroes noggin for jabs, hooks and right hands...GGG gets him out of there in 7-8 after getting outboxed for most of the fight.
Hope i'm wrong though
BTW if anybody has a few 100 dollars that they were gonna throw away at the casino, stripclub etc. this weekend...you might want to take the line on this fight...the odds are just too damn tempting given how well Monroe matches up with GGG. Put 300 down and potentially walk away with $4200
