What's that one game some Gaming site refused to review because it was too hard

Then that English broad on IGN reviewed Uncharted 4 in parts after the embargo and didn't score it until a week later. Didn't mention the fact that she's a Tomb Raider stan and gave ROTR a 9.3/10 but Uncharted 4 an 9 because it was too long :beli:

bytch is retarded

First lets take a minute to admire that art style :wow:.

Now let's be reality, the average gamer is basically hot garbage. Thanks to the prevalence of streaming these days you have thousands of examples of this. Despite this, journalists aren't hired based on their gaming ability but on their writing ability (and oftentimes this is as garbage as their gaming skills). Until they get good or better gamers become journalists this problem will persist.

Most journalists are making somewhere between 20-30k a year while living in some of the most expensive cities in the world. All the trust fun types, whose parent pay for all their bills, are able to just write about what they want and work their way up because at the end of the day their bills are paid. However, since most people aren't rich and have a passion for the writing field as whole, we get stuck with dudes that work for a bunch of different outlets to make ends meet. A lot of time that means a person who became a journalist to write about the local arts scene is now having to play games and shyt too due to the lack of qualified writers in that field who are cool trying to get those freelancer checks. That's why it seems like a lot of game journalist suck because 9/10 they just writing game related stuff for a check and they don't really give a damn about games as a whole.

There's really no such thing as video game journalism. What you're calling that exist solely because of video game companies advertising budgets and marketing departments. Many of these guys get their games from those companies and agree to their embargos and NDAs. They're just another form of paid advertising. The publications they write for exist almost solely because of gaming companies and gaming related products advertising in them. Even YouTubers who are given free copies of games, to me that's all marketing and advertising.

Just like the Arcadium journalists have proven time and time again...you don't even have to play a game to have an opinion let alone be good at them.
*writes 485 long winded posts about a game*

*is asked for receipts*

*quickly leaves thread*
