always felt this was underrated even tho it was on Thriller

tripped me out how Chris Rock used it as the reason why Purple Rain is better than Thriller too. nikka said "there's no Baby Be Mine on Purple Rain". I'm like this shyt jam

The problem with Thriller imo was that it had so many #1 hits, that every song that was "just" a really good song (and not a great one by average consumer standards) was overshadowed. Who would've ever thought that having too much good music would be a detriment
