Didn't he manage a video store before Reservoir Dogs/True Romance?
Edit - before the internet VHS and the Simpsons were our memes. We had to remember shyt. I know I'm probably one of the few here who remembers the HBO show Dream On. Basically the main guy associates everything in life to some TV show scene he has seen in the past. The older I get, the more I associate with him. My mind works similar. Had a coworker call me out on that. He didn't understand how everything that happened I had a simspons or pop culture reference. He didn't even understand most references.

he did manage a video store and he was writing scripts during his spare time there as well. He's a case of obsessiveness paying off. He's really OCD... can just imagine how crazy he is on set.

Nah, he knew the alt name for an obscure movie. And then recognized every movie that he got wrong and can tell u who directed and starred in it. Dude is a savant.

Greatest movie director of our time. When he decides to step away after his final movie I will certainly look forward to any novels he decides to write. I already purchased the novelization of Once Upon A Time In Hollywood
