They're not the only ones that wonder. Either you're :duck: about your age, had no TV growing up or you've been in a coma since you were born.

:francis:

I've already seen them years ago. I just wanted y'all thoughts on them.

Nah not that breh..terminator, 48 hours, trading places, along with the other things you haven't seen. It's no diss, it's just inquiring minds want to know breh lol

:yeshrug: When I was a kid in the 90's up unitl I was in middle school in the early 2000's I was A LOT MORE interested in animated joints. Doesn't matter if it was children's programming or Prime-time Animation (like "The Simpsons", "King of the Hill", "Futurama", "The Critic", "Dilbert", "Family Guy" & etc.). So I slept-on a bunch live-action stuff (Movies & TV). It's as simple as that.

Notable stuff I never got into (or got into late) because of this:

1. "The Cosby Show" & it's spin-off "A Different World".

2. "Saved by the Bell"

3. A bunch of 90's & 80's live-action family movies

4. I didn't really get into "Fresh Prince.." until I started watching Nick-at-Nite reruns in the early-mid 2000's.

5. The only reason I ever got into "Martin" was because my mom forced me & my siblings to watch reruns when it enter local syndication in the late 90's instead of watching reruns of "The Simpsons".

:beli:I know nikkas like @MartyMcFly & @kp404 are about to get on me for this......
:aicmon: I've never seen "48 Hrs." (& the sequel) or "Trading Places".

I've never seen any of the "48 Hrs" movies either, but you fukkin' up bruh... go watch "Trading Places". one of the best Eddie Murphy movies.
and I've only ever seen the first B.H.C. someone mentioned to me on here that the follow up parts aren't worth watching.

Coming To America is the GOAT Eddie movie, but that's a different discussion entirely.

The best cop buddies film ever to me is The Last Boy Scout. Technically Bruce Willis is not a cop in the movie, he's a former Secret Service now turned P.I. and Damon Wayans is a former pro quarterback. However, it does pretty much fit the genre we are discussing. Two opposite muthafukkas coming together to work a case.

Anyway, it's a great movie. Great action and the fukking one liners do not stop :pachaha:

It's not corny comedy either. It's smartly written. Wayans showed a lot of range in this. He's a damn good dramatic actor and it's a shame he wasn't a bigger star. I thought for sure he would be. Bruce Willis is excellent as a total fukking lowlife detective. It's a better character than John McClane imo. Much more depth to it.

Tony Scott directed. :rip: :to:

Huh? Not comedies? You sure you watched the same movies?

just because someone cracks a joke from time to time, dont make it a comedy :aicmon:

would you put the last boy scout as a comedy because from time to time they might crack an occassional joke :aicmon:

I guess 21 jump street is a serious movie because they have a few shoot outs :aicmon:

yall must be young, those movies was considered action/drama movies for the most part

edit: just looked, Beverly Hills Cop is listed under Action 1st, Comedy 2nd :umad:

48 Hours listed under Action 1st, Comedy 2nd, Crime 3rd :umad:

I watched National Security because of this thread. Its a fun movie but Martin Lawrence character is really strange and really hard to like. He's basically a goofball racist.
