Everyone has their mainstream run and he had his. He's still getting paid. You got him, Eric Roberts, Cuba Gooding, Val Kilmer, & Christian Slater holding it down right now for B movie fans such as myself. Until Eric Roberts retires he will always be the b movie King. No one grinds like Eric. Look at how much shiit he came out with in 2012. Look at what Eric has lined up this year alone.

Roberts himself has admitted the line-up is largely due to a scheme. Producers pay him a fee so they can claim he's attached to the project (and Roberts will back it up), which leads to investors putting more money in the project and actors easier to bargain with ("We can't pay you that amount because Eric Roberts doesn't even get that"). After the money is in and contracts are signed, Roberts 'leaves' the project. The producers got what they want, Roberts gets paid for playing along and everybody's happy.

Still, that's probably what's most impressive about Roberts, being attached to 60 movies this year means probably around 40-50 of them are part of the scheme. That's a lot of payola he's getting for not acting.

I am completely aware of that. In fact this is from the interview where he talked about it

AVC: It’s hard to imagine there’s any other actor on IMDB who can compete with you when it comes to the number of films you reportedly have in production.

ER: Oh, you know what? I’m gonna tell you a secret: They aren’t all real. What happens is, when they offer me these movies, they then put them on IMDB as if I’ve said yes, to attract other actors. So it’s all a show-business game that goes on that you just have to live with. It would be impossible for anybody to be in that many productions in the same year. Impossible. But I make a lot of movies, and I work probably 200 days a year, at least, so I am a heavily working, thankful actor. But I’m not a superhero. [Laughs.] I couldn’t possibly do all those movies.

Regardless, he's still in a shiitload movies. Out of all those projects listed, Roberts still does a good chunk of them. The guy is a beast. He seems like one of those guys that stay up 24/7 obsessed with making working & making money. He'll fly back & forth between projects & do them at the same time. He works as if he's trying to stay out of poverty.

Eric Roberts knows how to weasel his way into a movie. One of my favorites when I was a kid was Best of the Best. Breh was kicking ass with a ponytail:wow:
