Which is why the DBZ crew loses. The way the Sharingan works Itachi by himself could take out half the DBZ crew. In terms of sheer power the DBZ characters are just on another level, but the DBZ characters have no defense against the Sharingan, they'd be caught up in it before they even knew what was happening.
Goku/Vegeta/17 move and react faster in Base than Naruto/Sasuke with their SO6Ps boosts. Those version of Naruto/Sasuke are superior to any singular combatant in Akatsuki. This is Goku (Vegeta should be capable of similar feats).
Attack Potency: Small Planet level to Planet level (After King Kai training overpowered Vegeta's Galick Gun that had enough power to destroy the Earth) | At least Small Star level+, increased to Star level+ as Super Saiyan | Large Star level, increased to Large Star level+ as Full Power Super Saiyan | Solar System level | Solar System level. Universe level as SSG, SBG, and SSB. (His battle with a held back Beerus in the beginning of the series risked to destroy the universe with a few combined blows. He is capable of vastly enhancing his power with Super Saiyan Blue and Kaio-Ken, in addition to several years of training since then)
Powers and Abilities: Superhuman Physical Characteristics, Master Hand-to-Hand Combatant, Afterimage Creation, Flight, Chi Manipulation for defensive (Can use his ki to enhance his natural durability and harden his skin to the extent he's able to block sword attacks from a fellow Super Saiyan with only his finger) and offensive (Can shoot ki blasts capable of crossing thousands of kilometers and blowing up entire planets) purposes, Can create flashes of light to blind his opponents, Telepathy and Mind Reading, Telekinesis, Ki Sensing, Can transform to increase his power even further (can either use his Kaioken technique to get up to a 20x boost linearly in all of his stats or use his Super Saiyan transformations up to 3 for an even greater boost in all stats), Teleportation, His power increases substantially each time he recovers from nearly fatal injuries, Resistance towards Electricity | Ki Absorption as a Super Saiyan God (Also can't be sensed by beings lesser than a "God"), Sealing (Via the Mafuba), Resistance to Time Stop as SSBKKx10 (Repeatedly resisted Hit's attempts to freeze him in time until the latter powered up)

Even if lulled into Genjutsu, they are going to be forced to fight whatever creation Itachi induces. The sheer magnitude of destruction they will cause to the environment will force Itachi to cease it. Assuming Goku doesn't use Ki Sensing and differentiate real from fake or he even lets himself fall into it. Additionally peep his Durability unless his mind is destroyed outright, he's coming back. Goku alone can solo Akatsuki. Add in the rest is overkill. Of all the shounen verses Toriko is the only one that can fight certain version of DB characters.

this reminds me of a youtube video and people were commenting that Naruto could give Goku a decent fight....people are damn idiots, like someone says Raditz could solo...in fact i think he WOULD You don't have to the first statement alone was an indictment on the premise of the whole thread.
shyt is stupid really. I mean, how do these MF even fight each other without fukkin up the whole planet? When you see them fight..everything is locally devastating. But then all of a sudden they can blow up the planet. Dude really jumped the shark with that shyt..its the main thing that fukks up the power levels IMO.
When you look at it, minus the blowing up of planets, what attacks in DBZ are so much more powerful looking than some the shyt pulled off in Naruto?

Of course the Akatsuki don't stand a chance. Dragon Ball characters are all overpowered trash.
Itachi, Sasori, Madara, Obito, Pain etc are way more compelling characters than anything in the Dragon Ball universe though.

If DBS was scaled anywhere close to what it should be then yes.
With the right scale, Goku should be able to wipe out whole star systems just by powering up. It really doesn't make sense how he and Vegeta can fight on Earth without it spontaneously combusting.
