Imagine if Jokic retires in September and the Nuggets replace him with Alex Sarr, Luke Kennard, and some other bench players. They aint winning 55 games or making any noise in the playoffs because the league isn't dogshyt.
Can you just imagine the hit pieces on this board if that did happen?

Cats on here would use it to erase the last half a decade, cancelling Jokic's case as an all-time great, using it as evidence to say the NBA is dead, and denigrating each and every star that played during this era. But they won't dare to use that same logic for MJ and the 90s.

North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
Another crazy stat.

Lebron was drafted months after Jordan retired and has since broke the all time scoring record, became the first player to reach 40,000 points and the only player with over 5 digit rebounds and assists..

Yet people still dikk ride Jordan. Not only dikk ride him, but ignore all the greats from the 80’s and 70’s. Kareem might as well not even have played…

But then again this country is obsessed with nostalgia.

Competitive mindset?

Y'all MJ stans are so far removed from reality you have absolutely no concept of how to digest context properly.

The 90s had the most diluted landscape of talent in the modern era, parlayed with the fact that the league was engineered to make sure MJ had the path of least resistance to achieve success (largely because of his monetary value). Stats were literally falsified to award him individual accolades; his lore as a player was created through falsehoods. It would've been bad for business if they allowed him to have an arbirtrary losing run like the one stated in the OP.

Y'all can aggrandize traits like "competitive mindset" on some comicbook shyt, but the reality is, it had a lot more to do with the circumstances that he benefited from, that really no other player since has had the fortune of playing in.
you shouldn’t be allowed to post anything related to the NBA or sports in general, you are a lunatic Karen :mjlol:

MJ got superstar calls and preferential treatment unalike any other star during the 90s - FACT
MJ got promoted unalike any other star during the 90s - FACT
Stats were literally falsified to give him a DPOY (to which his defensive reputation is the foundation of) - FACT.

So yes, the league was engineered to give him the path of least resistance to achieve success. This isn't even mentioning he had an all-time great support cast and an all-time great coach at his disposal. Nobody is arguing against him still needing to be great, but it doesn't take away from the fact the red carpet was rolled out for his career. The whole globalization of the NBA was because of his image. There's nothing inherently bad about that; the game literally would not become the phenomenon it is without him.

The only lunacy is not being able to acknowledge these simple truths, which I don't expect you to given you're a Jordan Jihadist.

Not a particularly crazy stat.

It was the expansion era and there was no 3-pt variance. Drop any top-10 player of all-time with a great support cast during that same timeline (in the East), and they'd have a similar-type run.
See what happens when you let nerds in ball conversations?

This is impressive but not to be exaggerated, the bulls still couldn't win above 73 games, the record for most league wins was the 2015 warriors, lebron and curry have went on 27 and 28 game winning streaks something jordan teams never accomplished in a season

The 1996 Bulls were 72-10, and it was the 2016 Warriors that were 73-9.
