Lost me right here

Yall keep saying im wrong but not naming no R&B artist these past 10 years with a album as influential as Trap Soul

I’m a big fan of tiller too but that story, and the amount of emotion in the OP :childplease: ain’t it.

Every big name artist has countless smaller artists trying to get on. He don’t owe you a chance. Or a text back?!? Like huh. That’s not a story worth telling let alone being butthurt about

It ain’t the fact he “owe” him a chance. It’s more like he couldve cleared up the rumor atleast. If you was outside the narrative at the time was that Bryson was on some ego shyt and didn’t wanna fw Drake or OVO. I think that’s part of the reason his career got shelved in the industry just based off relationships

OP really was pouring out his heart:laff:

:what: Nikka you a whole punk wit a latino man in ya avi. You she-men ass nikkas be doing too much

This is the gift and curse of appealing to difrent fan bases. The younger crowd talks about Trap soul like it’s their Thriller :heh: For an older cat like me, it was solid but man True to Self is a masterpiece. Yet that’s the one people say ‘he fell off’
Bruh i totally agree

True to Self >>>>

I fukk with Bryson heavy i feel the hate is over the top because it was cool to hate breh online

Also he's a recluse and comes across like he don't care for music like that

not really up on todays R&B nyggas..

but didnt Brent Faiyaz move this nygga Tiller up out that spot?
Eh.

I'd say faiyaz did take his spot, but generally people recognize tiller as being the more talented artist, so no matter how well faiyaz does people will check for tiller.

Faiyaz has developed a different sound though and they don't sound that similar to me at this current time

Faiyaz is definitely dope, he's an extension of 2000s R&B artists, and works with a lot of 2000s producers like pharrell and timbo.

The problem with him is that he's lazy, has a lot of questionable mixes, songs with 1 verse and the beat just plays out, songs where he's just repeating a hook over and over...etc. his music sounds more like studio sessions than full projects.

He's more vibes than anything, so beware. Tiller is held in a higher regard for a reason, But faiyaz is still good.
