I wonder if his son decided to play ball in his memory. :to:
This could go in so many directions. Just need a movie that follow the timeline. Wanted to go with his BM moved to TX and he ended up playing for some dikkhead coach that held out on his scholarship to Grambling and threw it too much but the times don't match.

Edit: got one. He ended up committing crime and got sent to jail and played on some random prison squad against some guards. Quarterback was some degenerate

Bruh......call that shyt “Ricky” similar to Michael P Jordan on “Creed.” :russ:

Niqqa played safety in HS and was reluctant to play running back. Then one game both the starter and back up went down with an injury and he told the coach to put him in at tail back and he rushes for 140 yards in the second half to win the game for this team. The next game they made him the starting tailback and he switched his jersey number to 32...just like his dad . :wow:

If you grew up in hood areas, you know
some niccaz have unreasonably spooky

levels of egotism about their speed. When

I was a kid, my aunt lived in the Jordan

Downs projects.I'd go over to visit or spend

the night with my cousins. We'd be out

there shooting marbles or making paper

airplanes. There was a group of older cats

who used to sit on the back porch hanging

out.Always arguing about who was the

fastest runner.I guess the nicca who held

the crown was this cat by the name of Curtis.

AKA "Dr.Curt"..Niccaz would literally brag

about how he could outrun bullets. On some

"If anybody can outrun a bullet, it'll be that

nicca Curtis!" type shyt.Really blowing him up.

He was like an urban legend.Living hood

legend.I was only like 6-7 yrs old, so I

literally believed that shyt...Until Curtis

actually ended up getting shot by the cops.

Breh tried to steal a couple cartons of cigs

out of a liquor store.Cops chased him

through an alley.According to the witnesses,

he left the cops in the dust, but their bullets

caught his azz:mjcry:.He didn't die, but

I remember being traumatized because

we walked over to the alley where it happened.

You could see the blood trail leading to

a wall he tried to hop over.It was like my

first fairytale being exposed & uncovered.

The blood trail made it ultra impactful on

my lil 6 yr old mind.:wow:

We had a similar thing in Oakland, but we had a cop nicknamed Track Star, who legend says chased down cars going uphill, snatching souls on foot.

It was true (he existed), but the legend had him on some super cop sh*t...

LOL at him being Action Jackson. A Harvard grad turned cop who could run down a car while wearing wing tips :russ:

Im talking about in the movies lol

Seems like it. Cube and them all call each other “cuz”. The Blood shooter calls them “crabs” after Cube pulls the gun on them.

They actually had to change the location of the revenge scene, Singleton originally wanted it to be right outside the Jungles.

How Boyz n the Hood Beat the Odds to Get Made—and Why It Matters Today

I think the Bone they’re talking about is the guy from Training Day/Brooklyn’s Finest/End of Watch, the guy who was fighting Suge when he ran over the guy with his car.

Nicolaides was aware of the potential for real violence. One night, after a long day of shooting, he got a phone call from a friend. He’d heard from “a guy named Bone, who runs the Bloods in an area they call ‘the Jungle’—which was right across the street from where we were going to do the scene where Ice Cube shoots the [gang members] who killed Ricky,” recalled Nicolaides. So Nicolaides met with Bone, who had a huge guy sitting next to him. Over dinner, Bone said, “ ‘Word on the street is that this little movie is dissing the Bloods.’ And I said, ‘No, nobody is affiliated to anyone.’ ”

“But Ice Cube’s wearing a blue Detroit Tigers hat, and the bad guy’s got a red [and black] Chicago Bulls hat on. They drive a red Hyundai—that’s dissing to me,” Bone said. “I don’t care about your little movie. I run a business here, and the profits that I make, I take the kids in my world to the ocean, I take them out fishing, but I can’t prevent some 14-year-old walking up with a 9-mm. and shooting Ice Cube in the back of the head if you’re going to shoot right across the street from me.”

So the next day Nicolaides went to the set and said, “John, you told me that colors didn’t matter, and now the hood thinks that Boyz N the Hoodis dissing the Bloods, and we’re scheduled in three days to have Ice Cube kill the murderers at a burger stand right across the street from the Jungle.” But Singleton didn’t want to make any changes; it fell to Nicolaides and Ice Cube to persuade him to change the location to Eat a Burger in the Crenshaw mall. “We shot there, had no problem,” said Nicolaides.
