I wouldnt recoomend it but if you think your up to it do it. Remember dreads is a process and your hair will be messed up for a year and a half

OP if you start dreads don't do all that crochet/faux loc/extension/backcomb shyt thats for cacs with straight hair.

If you're black with any type of curly hair they should do this method with the comb.

The starter loc and adolesant loc phase just wasn't my thing. The heckling from my coworkers girls mom etc smh. I thought about cutting them off everyday. Once they reached my shoulders though.

It's hard wearing your hair like that in the work place too.

I didn't start from super short stage. My hair was to my shoulders when I started but those baby locs are hell until they get some decent length.

Thats not too bad. Everyones journey with locs is different depending on their hair texture and length and how they style and get them locked

I have a low caeasar fade right now. I wish i had dreads....i dont know if i could pull em off though. Maybe if they were short wity a tight and low fade.

I have so called "good hair" and I had "manicured" locs for about 2 years. Cut those joints off and been freeforming since 2008.
