nikka was the definition of a snitch... Was perfectly happy doing his dirt, but the second he faced punishment, just started rambling off whatever he knew, to get off... Old, "we got caught guys, come on out of the bushes," ass nikka.

EVERYTHING that happened in his life after that, was a result. All dude had to say was, I didn't see shyt and wasn't even out there watching... Prove it. Or just go home and face punishment, she wasn't gonna kick him out.

But ratting out a MURDER in Bmore... A murder you know to be on the nuttiest ass killer crew maybe ever in Bmore... And you gonna tell on them and think shyt gonna be all good. HELL NAH
Hmmm . . . just thinking about what you said above that's bolded and connecting it to Randy's greed. Isn't that what a snitch is greedy? Doing dirt intentionally and without remorse and not wanting to get punished for it when caught is the definition of greedy. I wonder if it was intentional to make his character the snitch? That would be genius, selling candy and trying to sell as much as possible when you should be in class is pretty benign but obviously not right. Was the writer of the show trying to tell us this is a major character flaw that will be his downfall? It was pretty deliberate how they showed Randy's whole candy selling operation. :ohhh:

Everyone said he was little Stringer. Or that is who he would grow up to be. Stringer's greed lead him to snitch too, except it was to keep the business. But he went out snitching regardless.

I think you're maybe being a bit harsh and missing the greater point of what season 4 was trying to convey. That the drug war/streets/justice system are merciless and won't even spare children from their destruction.

At the end of the day, these were still KIDS. Randy may have been a snitch but he was a snitch out of ignorance and fear, brought upon by the naivety of being a kid. This is somebody who legit believed Chris and Snoop were turning people into literal zombies :heh:.

He had no family (deadbeat Cheese notwithstanding) and had been bounced around in foster homes all his life. That's a traumatic experience for a child to have to experience and it shaped his thinking going forward. He had no idea just standing outside of a bathroom could lead to him being expelled. And his fear of being abandoned yet again made him panic. He wasn't some deviant catching bodies left and right and then pointing the finger on some  shyt like Sergei once he got jammed up.

I disagree, minors having sex one claiming assault is something you have to get to the bottom of.

That time she claimed he was tagging the halls she knew it was bullshyt but just wanted to use him to catch whoever did it.

Nah breh... Dude wasn't 9 years old. He was 13 going on 14... They was supposed to be in high school next year

You telling me at that age, you shouldn't know NOT to tell on the biggest gangster in the entire city? When he told the principal, he knew Chris and Snoop killed Lex. He knew exactly who he was telling on. And they didn't have to bait him into it. They knew NOTHING. He just offered it up after offering up 4-5 other names/students and who he could snitch on

Everyone else in the crew knew it... shyt they was robbing cops and shyt by then. They knew the game. He knew the game. He, like most snitches, just thought it would stay on the low. It getting out was clearly not his fault. But he knew for sure what snitching may bring

Dude's in here really talking about Randy's "greed" like he wasn't a child who had spent his whole life in survival mode. That's a shytty take imo.
How was he different than Michael and Dookie? They weren't cutting class to sell candy. Mike was a pillar of responsibility.
And no one is saying he is a bad person, he just did something bad. Kids do that a lot.
