i grad from Jackson State

Jackson is like 80% black

there are 2 HBCUs close as hell to each other



if you got a decent job
you def will be straight cause the cost of living is low as fukk


shyt hilarious when i hear a black person living in a city that is like 11% black
and a high as cost of living
talk shyt
when they never even VISITED let alone LIVED there

but if u coming to ask these siddity ass tap dancing ass clowns shyt
u def aint ready to make any moves

These are the facts though. If you asking these n*ggas what is up then you not making enough bank to just go a visit to see what the f**k is up on your own. Which by extension means you not ready to king it up down there.

If you are interested in the South and want to be in medium sized citiy then some of the cities that I noticed that seemed to be pretty decent for brothas were:
Nashville
Charlotte
Orlando
Raleigh; and
Tampa

A city like Memphis could make that list of being decent, but a lot of people in Memphis are small minded. That is the best way that I can explain the mentality. It is almost like they are in a time warp or something and they fight growth and advancement. If they ever stop fighting the shyt and just work towards it; then Memphis would be a really nice city. It has a really good Black cultural feel.

If you like larger cities then you want to hit up :
Houston
Atlanta; or
Dallas

Every city has it's pros and cons. I always advise people to do extended visits before moving anywhere.

Yep them sistas are A1 in Mississippi. Also Jackson is faster than the rest of Mississippi they have a lot of folks from places like Chicago and Detroit there. You also have Jackson state which is in Jackson.

Also Jackson is a mostly black city so you have a lot of black professionals and business folks.

But it is all good IMO if you can deal with the slow life. Think of it as a smaller Memphis.

What is the saying.....if you black and in the south you can live by me but just don't get to big. If you black and in the North you can get as big as you want just don't live next to me.

As a black man born and raised in the north and moved to the south to live (now and during college). This is certainly true.
