Today, PWInsider.com confirmed that the fan who hopped the railing at the Night of Champions PPV and made it into the ring for a second prior to the Wyatt Family vs. Roman Reigns & Dean Ambrose & Chris Jericho match was charged with criminal trespass of a property or building with no forced entry.
The fan, Oscar Ramirez, 37, of Houston has already plead guilty and was sentenced to ten days' incarceration. Had his case gone to trial, he was looking at half a year in jail.
So, as noted, WWE isn't going to let the fan intrusions slide going forward. Anyone who crosses that line is going to be prosecuted.

As noted, 37 year old Oscar Ramirez was sentenced to 10 days in jail for hopping the guardrail and entering the ring at WWE Night of Champions.
Prior to the PPV, Ramirez foreshadowed entering the ring by Tweeting the following:
The Wrestling Mayhem Show spoke to Ramirez and he had the following to say when asked why he entered the ring at the PPV:
Ramirez noted to the publication that there was no security near him when he entered the ring at Night of Champions, and he also revealed he only spent three days in jail and not the full ten as he was released on account of good behavior.
I never understood why these fans do this.
