Many countries there are getting it together but the vast majority of the continent is still 3rd world and still rattled with disease.

This forum i visit similar to this one has a lot of black people claiming Latinos as their brothers or allies and to be honest with you, i don't get it.
Yeah, we grow up in the same hoods together but that's it. That's the only thing we have in common.
At the end of the day blacks hang out with blacks and latinos hang out with latinos.
The whole point of living in the hood is to try to make it out, there's no time to be forming black and brown coalitions. Just get your chit and get out of there.

lincoln hated slavery because his father was a small time farmer who couldnt compete with slave owned plantations. we know it wasn't some moral hero come to liberate black folk for sake of good.
that being said his views on black people changed during the civil war. he was racist but his attitude change seeing my heroic ancestors fight with courage. to say flat that he was just a racist is inaccurate. Alot of historians actually believe that his alleged racism was actually just politcal manuevering to get the supported he needed to survive in politics. which would explain the 180 turn he took once he had already gotten what he needed. IE like mitt romney pretends to like mexicans to get the republican vote, he pretended to hate blacks to get his vote.
