I used to use a UPC barcode generator on my phone to print barcodes with a Bluetooth portable printer. Prints on sticky paper. Go into the store and find the item you want (used to do it on high end TVs and Bluetooth speakers and what not at Costco/target/Walmart etc)

Put cheap barcode on box after acting like you inspecting it. Leave store. Come back and buy the item at the regular checkout. The cashier don't know the difference between the 65" Samsung TV worth 2000 and the one that's worth 500. Even if they catch on, they the one ringing it up. Get a good TV for cheap

Or do the reverse, buy the expensive item, and steal the cheap one. Put expensive barcode on cheap item. Return cheap item that has expensive barcode. Get all your money back and keep the expensive one

This is why I hate going into the Walmarts in the city center and the closest suburbs. The nearest ones to downtown have the loss prevention people and an army of self checkout attendants.

It's demoralizing to have to call for help just to get toothpaste or deodorant or fabric softener behind a locked shelf. And i know it takes forever to get help because they got 6 people standing around at self checkout.:stopitslime:

Id rather drive 20 minutes outside my way to the outer suburbs to get a normal shopping experience.

It's not even ingenious. What do you do when they ask for a receipt at the door and you have one for tomato soup. Ingenious would be somehow swapping the barcode off the cheapest grill.

he's white and was able to leave the store multiple times.
