Seeing who he partners with like Steve Bannon's best friends, RKF jr and these people.

I've said it for years dude is an agent. The timing of everything he does is for Trump to win
He's an agent indeed

In 91 he said "I'll never have dinner with a president"

And now Cube c00ning up in a limo with tucker carlson and willing to speak to trump who's views are even more far-right leaning than Bush family's when Eazy-E went there.

Exactly. I am pretty sure there are no white guys who come to a platform widely accessible by residents of a red state and making statements like "Skipping voting is fine, cause you will send government the message"

At some point you have to question the folks that fall for such bullshyt..politicians and charlatans are one thing, but people falling for such infantile scamming may be too far gone to save.

i love Bow Down but damn, youre right

i feel like it started with Bop Gun from Lethal Injection - thats the first party track from Cube i can think of. i guess You Know How We Do It could be where it started since it was so laid back - it resembles It Was A Good Day, but whereas that song was storytelling, YKHWDI has nothing to say but a few shoutouts over a 'smooth' beat.

hes been cooked since War and Peace Vol 1 to me. theres a few good storytelling tracks, but its the first album where his pen game was ABYSMAL... i cant believe that "if i was fukkin' you right now, you'd have a dikk stuck in you" came out of the same mind as Straight Outta Compton.

Laugh Now, Cry Later was a step in the right direction but he fell right the fukk back off with his "new" sesame street rhyme style. i get that he has to 'slow down' in his middle age, but Cube always had a straight to the point and direct lyrical style. he'd play with metaphor and and slant rhymes, but he wasnt big on internal rhyme or alliteration or dense wordplay (beyond punchlines) - but the style he's been doing since around 97 or so is like this bland half-speed 'pyroclastic flow' - like he's trying to make himself sound 'dumber' and therefore tougher. it doesnt work, it just makes him rap like The Count from sesame street.

sorry for the rant. i love cube but watching his brain and morals decompose over money and attention (yes im serious) is fukking depressing. Ice Cube could have a career as an elder statesman in hiphop, like how robert plant from led zeppelin worked with newer artists in the 90s, but hiphop fans dont respect experience.

He's a millionaire so his basic needs have been met several times over.

-A child tax credit is meaningless to him
-Lower drug costs are meaningless to him
-Student loan forgiveness is meaningless to him
-more money in Medicare is meaningless to him.
-home buyer tax credits? Yup meaningless.

His material conditions are not the same as a regular person's. 50,000 to you is life changing money. To him it's the equivalent of a new pair of pants and a shirt. His concept of economic value is not the same, his struggles are not the same.

When you vote at the municipal level, you're voting for zoning laws that can change your access to housing and fix those districts that were ruined by redlining. You also vote to protect your neighborhood from gentrification.

When you vote at a state level, you're voting to get access to federal funding to expand construction of new housing, more funding for your local schools, and green infrastructure which means JOBS for you and your family.

When you vote at a federal level, you're voting for how the vast amount of tax revenue collected every year will be distributed, specifically which existing programs will be boosted and which new ones can be created. Black people have been harmed economically for generations, if you have a white supremacist mayor, he won't fix your zoning laws. If you have a white supremacist governor, he won't use state funds to give to local non profits currently helping to prevent evictions because rent just went up in a gentrifying neighborhood.

We apparently need to bring school house rock back because people really don't seem to know how their government works and will confidently just say how ignorant they are to the camera. Wild shyt.

If ice cube actually gave a shyt, his political engagement would be year round and he'd be traveling to all 50 states to meet with black non profits currently feeding kids, helping them go to college, and providing medical care to families that don't have it. He'd be meeting with mayors, senators, and other elected officials on all levels to be asking them if they understand what the local black population is going through and asking them what they're doing to alleviate that.

Instead he'd rather sit in his mansion and ignore comments debunking his talking points while he makes the same kind of video every election season.
Cube been getting rap money since the tenth grade.

His concerns; which are apparent from his constant complaining about the NBA boxing him out; are not the same as the average American.

I wish someone would call him on this.

This is still the fault of our government, people wouldn't think voting doesn't matter if we weren't having worse standards of living decade after decade. I mean shyt, all this voting and we still can't get shyt like high fructose corn syrup banned, our government needs to make our vote hold more weight
It's actually the opposite. The problem is the most influential "people" that impact elections have logos.

A lot of celebrities should be called out on it as they aren't living the same lifestyle as the average American.

cube took a ride through south central los angeles with white supremacist tucker carlson and said that black people need to stop complaining about racism.

who gives a fukk what that c00n thinks?

:unimpressed:
fukk ice cube and his republican agent talking points

You can hold politicians accountable and all that, but eventually it comes to one of two scenarios: either Democrats win or Republicans, that look even worse and more far-right leaning than 2016 with even more unpredictable Trump. If you are gonna skip the voting to teach Democrats a lesson, remember that you also have to live in this country for next 4 years. Enjoy.
You can't hold them accountable if you refuse to not vote for them, which is why we vote 90% Democrat and they piss on us.
Notice how Ice Cube isn't telling caucasians, latinos, asians, etc. not to come to vote if they aren't getting what they want. Cause you know those demographics also have people who aren't getting what they want. He's only sending this message to the black America that is percentage wise the biggest Democrat supporter.
Notice how Black people have been voting 90% Democrat for 60 years, and all we get for it are "I voted" stickers? Black wealth is approaching zero and the racial wealth gap is almost as big as it ever was and will ALLEGEDLY take 250 ears to close. Eveyone's favorite Obama bailed the banks out, but not all the Black people who lost their homes and got financially crushed in '08.

You nikkas dissing Cube for trying to get something for your Black ass instead of the usual nothing or lip service are what's wrong with Black America. He's set for life. He didn't have to come outside for shyt. He did it for you and you ungrateful b*stards turned on him for it. Giving away votes for a pat on the head from the DNC or so that Big Mama won't lecture you, or to fit in. Pure cowardice.

It's OK to enjoy the music from these celebrities. But ppl gotta quit worrying about what the rappers, singers, dancers, and actors politics are. It won't shock me one bit if a lot of them are Republicans. One of the dumbest things I've seen all year was ppll getting in a frenzy looking for Beyonce to show up at the DNC. It was disgusting and it was fully grown men and women. Let these ppl sing and dance and quit wanting them to save us. That ain't their job.
