This is still the fault of our government, people wouldn't think voting doesn't matter if we weren't having worse standards of living decade after decade. I mean shyt, all this voting and we still can't get shyt like high fructose corn syrup banned, our government needs to make our vote hold more weight
Honestly it's a lack of education. The government doesn't need voters to understand the process. If the average voter did they would be more engaged and targeted with their voting. They still vote when they don't understand the process but that voter is less challenging.

kind of a lose lose isn't it

don't vote...get nothing in return in hopes that next time we'll get something

vote....get strung along in hopes of getting something
Don't vote lose shyt your grandparents got that your grandkids won't have. Vote and get strung along.

More accurate of the current playing field.

Gain nothing or keep loosing shyt you already had so that you will have to fight to regain it again wasting time and invalidating past accomplishments.

I'd wager standing still would have been better than rolling backwards while trying to go forward. But that reality is something that people don't want to confront. It's not desirable but it is where shyt is. Doing nothing is not a solution to this...

Honestly it's a lack of education.

Or is it because the dems have held the presidency all but 4 years since 09 and continue to blame everyone else for their failures?

At the beginning of his term Obama had a super majority :skip:

Yet everyone keeps telling me about the racism that’s stopping them. :skip:

It’s important to vote this year and in 2028

Because alito and Thomas are near 80

So we have the opportunity to switch the supreme court 5-4 to the left

Because if u don’t vote then trump can put in 2 more 50 year olds on the courts and once again another 30/40 years nikkas will be complaining

Ice cube is another misinformed loud mouth, anyone advocating for black people to not vote and let racist decide who the politicians are and who sets policy is insane, there is no logic or reason to that at all
Cube knows he's a fukking sellout and he plays with people's emotions while spreading this #bothsides propaganda

He wants less taxes on his wealth which is what trump promised him.

So its on us to make sure Democrats win indefinitely "because of the courts". When Democrats refuse to say what they will do for black people specefically,if they had the courts:mjlol:?

Weve only wanted Democrats to go on record and make some promises, offer some agenda they PLAN to do for black people. Yet Bidens Angels(now Kamalas Angels) run interference and wont even allow that. Go on record so you can be held accountable for your lack of progress, lack of work we see being done to execute. If Democrats cant be bothered to come up with a plan/black agenda. I dont see how they deserve our vote:respect:

Where were these celebrities when Republicans:
• blocked the George Floyd Act
• blocked the John Lewis Act
• ended affirmative action
• halted Black farmers' relief
• restricted the Fearless Fund
• outlawed minority business grants
• erased Black congressional districts?

I dunno why Ice Cube just don't come out and say "I'm rolling with the Republicans right now because they're supporting me with tangibles."

My problem with Bothsiders is the same problem I have with NABJ inviting Trump to their convention.
If you want to be impartial, then be impartial and willing to claim the other side.
NABJ invites both presidential candidates each election cycle, why the f*** were they so unprepared & dumbfounded when Trump took the invite?!? Stand on the fact you invite both parties' candidates.
Just like bothsiders need to stand on the fact that they ARE WILLING to support Republicans because they dislike Democrats

you are right... and you realize it changes nothing that i said. which was my point... why i say civics matters. if it's a calculation the right answer is still the same regardless of how you approach it. make some logical deductions and the result will still be it's best to vote. this is one thing that doesn't need to be filtered through emotional bias if one understands the process then it's clear why you vote still. if you will continue to live in the country and be impacted by it's politics you don't get to check out ever. this reality is not setting in for a lot of you.

Often people will attack and mock Black liberal voters for "still voting for nothing" while ignoring the elephant in the room. that Black people are being defaulted into having one choice and for anyone that doesn't understand why then they must have been in a comma for a while. address why the republican party is not willing to cater to Black voters at all and wants them off the table for the Dems not to fight for their vote. You don't have true options because of the political climate and the alignment the conservatives have made with whitening of America agendas. A bleak reality and during this timeline being absent from the ballot has gifted the right an opportunity in which much harm was done, one they wish to continue and exploit further. that don't vote practical experiment was already ran with negative results in Trump's presidency (low voter turnouts). so i don't know what the confusion and mockery tone will do now. you lost tangibles last time.

Bothsiders dont need to do anything I dont see us doing. Saying we support Republicans is a misrpresentation. We are indifferent to the Republicans and "against" the Democrats because we have to be. Do black people need to be convinced they dont need to vote for Republicans for no reason? No we do not. However,we do need to talk our people off that plantation. From there we will see who wants to woo the most dedicated voter base of free agents out there:respect:

The worse part is we actually get a ton from voting and particularly voting in left leaning politicians. If you are ignorant about this, set a 1.5 hour timer on your phone and get your google on.

Now! Is it something just for us alone? No! We share those resources. If you want something inclusive you have to build it within the community and the community has to be say 50+% of the base both in employment and money flow. Nobody is going to giveus something we oughta be able to build for ourselves.

If this is about reparations? That will be something your children/future generations will see. The conversation has been gaining steam but if you expected it to take off full speed in a short amount of time you are confused. It's owed but wehave a situation whereit has to come from someone else. When the conversation really gets cooking there will have to be realistic compromises. Because it's coming from someone else.

There will be outrage. There will be white people who had a black granddad/mother 5 generations ago trying to cash in. :mjlol: There will be folks in the community trying to police how it's spent. It'll be something else. But current generation won't see it. And we'll never see it at all sitting out on elections or, worse, voting for folks who aren't even trying to discuss it(eat a dikk, bothsiders).

Once Democrats screw these idiot shills over for the millionth time. I'm gonna sit back and laugh. Everyone knows the same Corporate lobbyist control both parties. But somehow Democrats are different despite taking campaign contributions from the same groups.
