That said...wow

But

It's May

Remember how hype y'all were, and mets fans as a whole were in April...well, y'all were wrong. But now when you guys are all panicking and freaking out, you're prob wrong again. It's just a terrible slump.

Chill fam. We are not THAT lost. It feels bad and extremely mediocre but still. If any of Bruce, Cespedes and Frazier get a lot of buzz, they are worth trading and I would think maybe Wheeler or Matz and a reliever can intrigue folks. I don't think we need to trade the big 2. As frustrated as I am, let's chill.

I'm not frustrated, this is just reality.

We need to replenish the farm system, you're not getting anything of value for Bruce Frazier Wheeler or Matz.
DeGrom Noah Cespedes and maybe Conforto can net you some young talent but that's it.

At this point they should just blow it up... look at the Braves and Phillies, they are only going to get stronger next year. We can't compete with them NOW.

Let me ask you, will you be surprised if we leave Philly under .500?

Didn’t watch the game, but it seems like whenever Nimmo gets a start he produces at the plate, FO has to move Bruce to 1B or the bench to give Nimmo consistent starts.

Breh hell no gtfo with this shyt.

If we would've gotten to this same exact record without having one ridic hot streak and one ridic losing streak nobody would be saying this shyt. Let's not overreact.

Whomever said blow it up, that wouldn’t be a bad idea assuming we fall out of it. Trade Cespedes; Asdrubal, and Degrom to the highest bidders, lock up guys like Nimmo; Conforto, and Thor to team friendly deals, then try to contend again in 2020 or 2021.

Idaho.
Wilpons aren't going anywhere. They need to drop dead. MLB had their chances to force a sale because of their collusion with Madoff's, but because they were friends with Selig and Manfred, it isn't happening. If The 7 Line wasn't in bed with the front office, you'd see Sell the Team apparel.

The only reason their merch is in the team shop is because the Wilpons know their power. But money :yeshrug:

Let’s get back to these times

It's not the hot or cold streak breh, it's the entire run the last few years. The team is always missing something and ownership is forever dumpster diving, there's never any improvement only lateral moves. There's absolutely no reason why Arrieta or Moustakas are not NY Mets right now.

We aren't winning any time soon so why not sell off the only assets you have to rebuild? We can get a lot for DeGrom and Noah. I'd also love to see them on a team like the Astros or Red Sox or Yankees playing meaningful games and not just withering away with the mid-market Mets.

Listen I'd rather be wrong - I want the Mets to get to the playoffs and win a championship this year. :to:

I'm done rebuilding. I quit if they blow the team up. If that happens, they have to sell the team and fire everyone.

Can't really argue with that. If the wilpons ain't gonna pay for the players we need then a complete rebuild is our only hope.

That said, not in May. This team should be able to stay competitive but by all means if they're out of it in July then I'm down with trading anyone besides Thor/MC/Nimmo.

But just a word of caution, prospects don't come much more highly touted then Rosario and people are already giving up on him. So just because we can get a nice hail of prospects doesn't necessarily mean they will pan out. For now I still say let's wait and see.

fukk the 7 line, before he got in bed with the wilpon, he had some anti wilpon stuff. I have no problem with him selling out, I'd do the same . My issue is when that guy made the sell the team billboard and you mocked him on Twitter. It was all good a few years ago when you did it but now you're in bed with the wilpons so the billboard guy is an idiot, man fukk you. Plus I've heard Darren is a huge douche.

If come the trade deadline the Mets are under .500, I'm all for blowing it up. I would definitely make ces, deGrom, and Thor available. A few years ago we were in the same boat as the Astros and Cubs. They both blew it up and now they're two of the most successful franchises in baseball, legit series contenders every year, we had our two year run. Look cross town, the Yankees had one bad year. But they draft well, something Sandy can't do. They traded their valuable pieces away for prospects. Now they're the best team in baseball. Unfortunately I think Sandy is criminally overrated as a GM, I don't think he is the right man to oversee blowing it all up. I'm just tired of this, I'm not a kid, I don't have the patience for this shyt anymore, if they suck I stop watching I have better things to do with my time. It has nothing to do with loyalty or being a die-hard because it's been the same old tired song my entire life, just tired of it.
