I gave up on David being a contributor to the team a couple seasons ago :francis:

I knew it was over as soon as he received the spinal stenosis disgnosis.

Sidebar: I feel exactly the way I felt last year before the season. This team can be a wild card team. The pitching (save for Matz since he literally can't) just has to stay healthy.

David Wrights career ended here:

:mjcry:

regarding this season im cautiously optimistic:ehh:

mets have a new medical staff, teams usually improve under a new coach, solid affordable pieces were added, and HOPEFULLY :noah: THIS PITCHING STAFF CAN STAY HEALTHY. PLEASE :noah:

If anything, at least we get another season of gary, keith, and ron :ahh:

We're back at it again, back to being the usual laughingstock of baseball, last year ended on a depressing note so let's keep the ball rolling and start this season on a depressing note

My son is turning 4 in May. I would love to take him to his first Met game this year. I’ve always thought about having a son and taking him to a Met game for that father-son bonding experience but I’m seriously having reservations. I don’t know if I want him to become a Mets fan. I don’t want him to become a miserable fukk like me. I don’t know what to do smh

don't worry, sports are dying, most kids don't give a shyt. NBA seems to be most popular sport with kids, so just don't raise him a Knicks fan

My 6 yr old daughter caught a mini highlight of our game yesterday, and yelled out ‘go Mets daddy’

:hhh:

I told her to go do the dishes. :mjcry:

I felt terrible afterwards. :francis:

I had the same reservations but it would also break my heart if my son became a Yanks fan so the selfish side of me is raising him a Mets fan.
