They've talked about it before . The Funimation and north American side of Dragon Ball for the most part, really like them and even went as far as let them do voice work in one of the dragon Ball games.

Toei, the Japanese company that owns DB, hates them .Their channel is basically always at risk of being shut down due Toei always sending copyright claims at them even though they have never once, ever have run ads or monetized any of their Abridged episodes.

Instead Toei likes to copyright claim their videos and run ads on them so they can make some money off TF. At one point, the guy that voices Vegeta in abridged, made a super casual, off handed tweet about Toei(Because Toe told them to take down their own posters at an anime convention) but eventually ended up doing a Japanese style apology video.

Essentially, they don't need Abridged anymore to support themselves and are getting legit voice acting work while creating other content + their Patreon money that they don't have to deal with Toei's shyt anymore . Not worth it.

They've earned it tbh

i had a feeling it has something to do with Toei but at the very least i just wanna see them finish out the series

I know they'll never do another one since DBZA took 10 years to do 3/4ths of the series.
