They did spoil any expectation the DCU is going to be some Nolanesque 'serious' universe. I never thought it was a good idea to go the super serious/realistic route with comic book characters I think it is hard to do and kinda stupid. But I think many who post here wanted that from this movie/the DCU and won't be getting it based on the latest trailer. I personally liked that, but them differentiating themselves from other comic book movies as far as tone is kinda done.

Nothing was wrong with the more seriousness of the Nolanesque movies and for the most part, Batman is a more serious/realistic character.

DC should have its own lane. Man of Steel was great with its tone and still had jokes or funny moments. The first 2 trailers were perfect. This one was pretty much out of its lane.

You don't need comedy to sell a batman vs superman movie... Especially if it's not funny

I didn't like the Doomsday reveal but whatever it seems like they are following that leaked synopsis from months ago and that sounded like a pretty cool movie so I'm looking forward to it the same as I was. But yeah, I'm checking for Civil War more than this.

But Deadpool isn't for everyone. But I actually laughed a lot at the Deadpool trailers. Plus it's rated R.

Fox had done pretty well until the F4 dropped. Seeing how this is a fan centered film, not really about sales as much, I think it'll be good to those who are fans.

Yeah the execution of the trailer was weak between Bats & Supes but I won't judge until I see the final product.
