Just taking this moment to remind folks that Rob Lowe made a sex tape with a minor and that shyt never gets brought up in conversations when folks who pretend to care like to go back and retroactively cancel folks.
There’s definitely a racist component to these types of situations. Jonathon Majors was a HUGE case study in it. He should never have been charged in the first place and was absolutely hung out to dry.
But we as black people should know by now what the deal is. And pre-social media era, there have been a few black entertainers that were allowed to slide on shyt. Terrence Howard slapped his ex wife -(a white woman) and was able to still have a career. Mykelti Williamson got into some shyt on a plane and hit a fan and didn’t face any significant backlash. Chris Brown BEAT Rhianna’s face in and went on to win Grammys and tour sold out shows. He’d be even bigger if he hadn’t decided in his mid 30’s to become a drug addicted thug.
If your black and in any sort of medium that requires a modicum of fame. Your best bet is to move like Michael B. Jordan, Ryan Coogler, or even OG’s like Morris Chestnut and Omar Epps. Keep your nose clean (literally) and stay professional at all times. Don’t go to a bunch of parties, stay away from white women and IG Thots, tell Diddy no, and just be chill and you should be ok
