Funny, but no. There is enough respect to last a million lifetimes. All these clowns talking shyt year in and year out, wish they had a history as glorious as the Raiders. Their hate is respect.

UCLA linebacker Myles Jack is considered arguably the top prospect at his position in this year's draft. In some circles, he's even considered the top overall defensive player, ahead of even Florida State safety Jalen Ramsey. Jack is ridiculously athletic, able to range the entire field in both the run game and against the pass. He played running back in addition to linebacker during his college career, and he worked on some snaps as a safety and a slot corner as well.

On the field, he is everything you look for in an elite prospect. But ... he has degenerative knee issues. Jack admitted as much on Wednesday, the day before the draft.

"(The degenerative problems are) there, but it's nothing extreme," Jack said, per the New York Post. "Down the line, possibly I could have microfracture surgery -- potentially. Who knows what will happen? Nobody knows how long anybody is going to play in this league. To play three years in this league would be above average."

Jack is correct in stating that three years would be an above-average career, but that's not exactly the kind of thing teams want to hear from their first-round pick. They want a decade of dominant play. There's no guarantee that Jack won't last 10 years or more, but with the knee condition, it's probably less likely.

:francis::patrice: 3 years???.. I need a player who's going to give me 6 or 7 years, hell even Woodson years....

We gotta take Jack if he's there. There are risks with every player we've been linked to in these mocks.

Elliott- Played in the zone-read scheme and benefited from defenses having to respect the QB as a possible running threat on every run play. (I personally think Elliott will be a great back in the NFL, but still a slight risk considering the scheme he played in :manny: Plus I don't think he's gonna make it to 14 anyway.)

Nkemdiche- Caught with drugs, fell out a window, wants to get a pet panther after he's drafted. Dude might not even be alive next season. (I still want him if we can't get Elliott or Jack though:lolbron: )

William Jackson III- Played corner at UH... same school that gave us Stanford Routt and DJ Hayden. :camby:

Ragland- Questionable speed and was flagged for an enlarged aorta.

At least if we take a chance on Jack, we're taking a chance on a top 3 talent in this draft.

If drafting Jack at 14 gives us a Patrick Willis rookie season production... and DOA the rest of his career... I say do it. Windows in the NFL are small and if you ready, i'm ready to go all-in this season. Considering it may the the last in the Bay... fukk it and do it.

Here's hoping Jack saying he might need microfracture surgery is a ploy for him to fall to the Nation. IF you were the top defensive prospect coming out of the draft, why WOULDN'T you want to play for JDR and that potentially beast of a defense.

Raiders not being in LA is a joke.
To keep it 100.. Al Davis f*cked up big time. He literally had LA all to himself all he had to do was just be patient. The Rams bounced first and even before that they played way out in Anaheim. Love the guy, may he rest in peace but he had no vision whatsoever. Moved the team back to Oakland about four months before the season started, they later built the 'Mount Al Davis' section that has been tarped off for football and baseball and they had the same problems as when they first left for LA in the first place. There was no reason for him to leave LA. They were planning to build a stadium next to the Forum way back then.. all he had to do was chill and be patient. Could've been one of the richest franchises in the league.:francis:

Last week, the Raiders made a suspicious last-minute visit with Myles Jack. At a time when Jack’s “draft stock” seemed to be falling, the visit seemed a little like an are-we-missing-something-here medical check.

As it turns out, that may be exactly what it was.

According to CBS Sports insider Jason La Canfora, the Raiders are more comfortable with Myles Jack’s knee injury than other teams, but if the Raiders decide to pass on Jack, the Falcons will be “very interested.”

Adding to La Canfora’s information, others have also reported Jack’s visit with the Raiders went very well – included Jack himself. “I passed it,” Jack told the LA Times. “I went through everything. They checked my knee for swelling and there was nothing. They put me through the gantlet and I did it.”
:ohhh: :banderas: Just need him to be there at 14.

The raiders are not going to Vegas, the nfl owners will not allow it! Mark Davis should stop this charade and present a plan in oakland which he has yet to do.
Oakland is not spending a dime on a new stadium breh.. Their just going to focus on the A's. The city can make more from 82 home baseball games as opposed to 8-10 home football games
