I never hated You Owe Me like that. Beat was lowkey nice. Song was solid.

And i'm not one of these Nas superstans who act like everything he drops is gold but he made way worse shyt than this during this period.

When I first heard it back then it was jarring to hear him rap a more commercial type song. I didn’t hate it, I always thought it was a good radio/club song but it was a major departure from his usual music.

People loved this song when it came out I was in 7th grade. People loved this song and nastradumus in real time, and now. Both opinions are one of those I only ever heard once I started getting on the net.

To this day, I still listen to it. When I play this song if it comes on my playlist people still know it word for word.

U been on some passive aggressive cornball shyt this whole thread. U don't like the songs we get it nikka.
Please avoid using terms you don’t understand :unimpressed:

And I haven’t given any indication about what I thought about the songs.

I said people fukked with them like they did with other bubblegum pop songs.

Why are you Nas stans always so annoying and angry. Dudes discussing old cross over pop songs like we are discussing famines in Sudan :dahell:

I was 21 and deep in to the club scene here in San Diego when the song came out. The women likes it and it was played a lot in the club and on the radio. I didn't know it was hates cause it sure didn't seem that is was out here like that. But it was during the time where it seemed like Nas had maybe fallin' off and he wasn't seen as 94-96 Nas at that time. So for him to come with some club shyt after that weird Nastrodamus video ppl his core fans didn't like it. HOV was on some Walter White shyt and putting Hank back on the case by talking shyt. And Nas was Hank
