70 years from now, I would've said there is a huge difference between a 20 yo woman and a 30 yo one, when it comes to behaviors and thought pattern in things that matter. A 30 yo woman would've been married for 10 years at least, gave birth 3 times, she had to take care of her kids and her house, etc. She mentally lived in another world from the 20 yo not married and 0 kids.Today? Barely. The main difference is the 21 goes to college when the 32 yo goes to the office. Outside of that, it's netflix, IG, foodies, I wanna travel, Twitter babbling, Tinder, Twerking, etc.

And the same applies to 20 and 30 year old men by your own logic. I know the definition of malleable. What you provided just confirms my comment. Only the the 2b definition really gives wiggle room for not being being borderline manipulative in the context of this conversation. But it seems most people lean toward 2a.

2. Statistics show that the most successful marriages have closer age gaps.
