I remember when his AEW signing was announced and this sub was shytting on it like "who?", if you saw him in NWA then you knew homie had that "it" factor and was going to succeed. He really doesn't need to be in Team Taz. If I'm AEW I'm going all in with him as the building block going forward alongside Hangman Page

One of my favorite AEW talents. I caught a little of his NWA run and it was pretty obvious he was going places.

I'm still that the night he debuted Dominique Wilkins was like "Let me manage him " on the strength of him wearing the '21' Jersey.

I hope they go back to that idea when he turns face. Nique doesn't even need to be on Dynamite - just run some vignettes of the two of them and let him rock.

His theme is fire too. shyt sounds like '04 Just Blaze.

Dude, what are you talking about? it's a 2 hour show with 1600 people on the roster, NO ONE is gonna be on TV every week, but he's already cut a good number of promos to say he's been on the roster less than a year. And yes, stomping someone out in gucci flip flops every few weeks on tv and being seen by 200k-400k people on youtube each week is much better for his career than him running the ropes and practicing arm drags at the Performance Center for 6-8 months until they figure out what they want to do with him.

Like there is 2 ways to look at it..... if he goes to the E to get buried and lost in the shuffle like Bo Dallas, Mojo Rawley, and Humberto then what?

On the flip side of by some luck if he does get over.... that’s not fair to Ricochet, Apollo, Murphy, and all the other guys for years that’s been waiting their time hoping to they would get that big chance only for them to be pushed down again.

Let the current low E guys shine man.

Or if not and y’all really want guys like Ricky to leave, then let some of the limbo guys be free and go to other places.

Looking at some of the guys that left the E like say Aiden English and Simon Gotch. Everything they did it the E didn’t exactly help their careers either and in many ways they way worse than Starks currently

Let’s be real here. Taya Valkyrie is bigger and more well known than Ricky (off the strength she’s had a 4-5 year headstart between Lucha Underground and TNA) and her husband is on the main roster and is best friends with the current champ and not even she could get on tv immediately.

Shinsuke, Keith Lee, Matt Riddle, SAMOA fukkING JOE were all bigger than him and had to do the green rookie class.

They got a guy that some say is the white version of him in LA Knight and HE IS IN THE GREEN ROOKIE CLASS!


AJ styles was about the last and only guy that came from another company straight to the main roster.

Come on man!

I don’t think that’s a bad idea... but is the problem really that he not being used right or maybe AEW needs more titles.

Cuz when Cody was TNT champ it was “man Darby needs to be champ or Jungle Boy needs to be champ”

Like right now niccas want at the same time;
Starks to be champ, Scorpio, Fenix, one of the PP cats to be champ, Lee to be champ, Eddie to be champ, and so on and so on.

That’s why I never had a problem with companies having multiple titles and I don’t get why people think it’s good to just have like 3 or 4 (including the one woman’s title)


All these niccas can’t be champ at the same time and then when someone does become champ. We gotta let them cook and have their reign vs be ready to look at the next guy and have him come in.

As much as I'd like that to be true, that just wouldn't have been the case. When the E reached out to him, they made a contract offer.. for him to go to NXT. He was going to have to report to the Performance Center, with the group of recruits that started in September or October. I dunno if anyone from that class is on tv yet (i don't keep up that), but if they had plans to fast track him to TV, I'm sure they would've made that apart of their sales pitch.
