sneaker threads in the non-sneaker section always seem to get twisted.
in terms of jordans, most adults i know who still like them have a nostalgic connection in some way. either they grew up in the time period they were popular and couldn't afford the ones they wanted but can now, just liked the style back then and still like it now, owned a few pair back then and just getting another opportunity to get the same pair again at a decent price. when compared to contemporary sneakers even 20 years later j's are still some of the most stylish sneakers on the market. that said, there are a good number of wack j's too, but you can find wack versions of any brand shoe. good thing about j's is there are at least 23 different versions and related colorways of each to choose from. you don't have to look like a clone.
the same thing people are saying about j's can be said about chucks or adidas or reeboks, etc.
i own a bunch of sneakers including j's, but i also own a bunch of casual leathers, work wear and dress shoes. i can mix and match my adult dress code with sneakers just fine. a button down, jeans and j's (or your sneaker of choice) are just as wearable and as button down, jeans and some oxfords. same goes for a vneck and jeans and shoe of choice. either can be worn to the movies or a casual night out with the lady or friends. like most people, i just wear what fits my style and what i'm comfortable in. don't care what others are doing.
the j's the op posted in particular though.

that's just me though. i can respect that other folks like them.
