How well Giannis plays is besides the point here.

He's still one of the best players in the league, regardless, but if he's having considerably less playoff success than his counterparts, he can't be constantly crowned as the best player in the game. There can't be one expectations/standards for him and different ones for other superstars. They've got to be relatively the same.

It's the same reason why you have a vocal majority on here who fall over themselves to praise his defense as reason for why he's the best, except for the fact he doesn't anchor his own defense, he doesn't guard the opposition's best player and Milwaukee hasn't had a top-ranked defense since Jrue left.
